Co2Pro EP. 15 | Zero to Hero! Major Comeback MLF Toyota Series: Lake Of The Ozarks
Fall events are always extremely tough, especially as a co-angler. Battled through Day 1 of the Toyota Series on Lake Of The Ozarks and came up empty-handed. Stuck to finesse fishing again and on day 2 and it paid off with a major comeback. Jumped over 80 places and got a small check. Finished the Toyota Series Plains Division with a 5th place in AOY and qualified for the Championship on Table Rock in a couple of weeks. Excited to come back to this lake next year, hopefully as a boater.

If your boater has a trolling motor set to 10 and blazing down banks, how do you decide what to throw? Especially in rivers/creeks with strong current or tidal movements? This has been my struggle for the last few weeks. PS. you need to get back to making videos! Love watching awesome Co anglers!

Pay attention to my electronics? Co anglers aren’t allowed their own electronics and 90% of boaters shut the console graphs off to “save battery”. So that’s some baloney advice there. If you’re LUCKY you get a graph with the contour map and that’s it. Forget about sidescan and downscan no one’s gonna give you that on a regular basis. You’ve been extremely lucky with your boaters if they have. And if you’ve been lucky with a lot of boaters as it kinda looks like you have, then you’re in no position to give advice about back boating. I’ve watched you cast up on your boaters frequently, if you weren’t wearing a camera a lot more of them would’ve bitched you out like the rest of us.

Thats an awesome setup, I would love to take an old Ranger and outfit it like that. I have a 20 foot Triton right now and I love it but its really too much boat for what I need. A 17.5-18 foot boat with a 175hp on it would be perfect for me, they don't make newer boats that size with motors that big on them.

Sweet idea to keep a couple weighted in the pocket. I’ve noticed I might only get a couple “ideal” shots at targets during an event so efficiency = effectiveness. Do believe I’ll be adding this “hack” to my routine

I think in past videos (possibly on your other channel) you mentioned you use the DC702sf. Any reason for the switch to the 703? I have a sierra 703 and it feels heavy some times., i went from a SA705C to a DC705c for my flipping around jig rod and found that the softer tip with faster action was a nice change.

Hey Carter ...I knew Sam Rosefsky the original owner of Bedford Sales ages ago! My primary waters were the great lakes, and started with a 19' Stratos with no issues... having a responsive front end is the key. I later had a 522 DVX Ranger, but I could go anywhere in any weather with the Stratos ... the carpet looked fine to me, and you can teach yourself to make seat covers . My daughter lives in Naperville, but hard for me to travel with health issues.... go get em!

Was considering coangling this year, but changed my mind. I don't mind fishing behind the boater, even bed fishing, because there's opportunity to learn and still catch fish. I don't plan to ever be behind some dude using ffs and backboating me all day in the middle of the lake. He has a right to do it so I'll never coangle.
