Something similar happens with the Soviets, the Soviet team almost always loses, the developers forgot that the Soviets won by numerical superiority, not playing 50 v 50

I was in a game where me and the other officers had good communication the commander was doing his best and then out of no where another officer who hasn't said shit speaks up and starts trashing us because we are losing the game lol

I think the pacific side would easily be do able with a few well designed medium sized maps, some new gadgets, and no heavy or medium armor just light armor, arty, and jeeps. The Japanese guns can be over exaggerated in range and accuracy to level things out as well.

I want to thank you. I was thinking of picking up HLL and it was all looking great but when faced with the idea of having to listen to you or some other pretentious chucklefuck drone like this as part of the core gameplay loop? Oh, hell no.

Hell Let Loose, in my experience was always the nicest of the milsim FPS when it came to new players. For a long time, I played it almost exclusively for that reason. There was a period where it got slightly toxic maybe around the time when the British were introduced and they started messing with the run speeds. I think there was a lot of new players who didn't use voice chat. But overall the HLL player base has been very friendly. Before the British update, I could literally count on one hand the times I'd encountered mean or toxic players in HLL. Once I was stuck with an annoying tank driver who wouldn't listen to directions of the tank commander, another time was a drunk russian guy at the start of the real ukraine war who kept yelling homophobic and anti-american insults, and the third time was a member of my squad who kept shit talking his squad until his teammates started to TK him on site. Generally the HLL player base is always willing to help out new players and use teamwork via VC. In my experience the worst to least games in terms of player toxicity was Rising Storm 2: Vietnam > War of Rights > ARMA 3 Vanila Public Servers > Squad > Post Scriptum > Hell Let Loose.

I remember playing as medic once running from trench to trench through smoke and reviving people and i swear i felt like i was invincible because bullets were flying but somehow i was not getting hit.

The radio is absolutely the biggest problem, and what makes squad leading exhausting & offputting; which in turn fucks the whole game up. Here's how I'd solve it in some easy steps: - Delete the squadchat mic (not speakers) for all squad members except squad lead (maybe also support) - Remove death screen (10 seconds to respawn) radio entirely. - Buff local chat with 20m extra range and improve fall off so it doesn't mumble so much. This would instantly filter a lot of noise. - the irrelevant chatter from people who aren't working with the squad on the other side of the map. - the lack of context chatter. "Grenade", "On my body", and "two on the left" broadcast GLOBALLY are pointless calls. Locally, they are very useful. - the utterly pointless death-screen, say-what-you-see calls that everyone can already see from their map: "garrison is red", "OP is hot".
