I live in a fairly small town in Southwest Washington state & the local Walmart has been getting remodeled this whole summer with a grand reopening not until September 13!!!! i say WTH? Baking soda and white vinegar for flat paint marks. All houses settle the first year and they will fix but that entry way issue I would file a claim immediately.
