Dang. I kinda want to replay this now

This was my first PS1 game I bought with my own money

I loved these games

Game looks kinda fun

I don’t have any study in psychology, so my take may be a bit more simplified. The way I see it, Yooka Laylee was not a well received game, so when a remake is announced, the dissonance felt may stem from the fact that attention is being given to a game that publicly has been deemed not to be worth our time, so there’s dissonance from that. On the side of Shovel Knight, I have read many opinions that this remake is unneeded, but the consensus of positive opinion is largely prevalent, I would assume for the same reason. Shovel Knight’s great! Can’t go wrong with more Shovel Knight. Personally, I do feel conflicted that this only appears to be the first campaign of the Treasure Trove collection, but I understand that games take time, and Yacht Club is meticulous with quality control.
