This is the trim flight after reassembling the model again. Flew it back in 2019 a couple of times. This is flight 2 of the enlarged Guillows Focke Wulf RC Added 80 grams of weight in the nose to get her al balanced. The total weight is about 1250 grams which in my opinion is too much for a 40 inch warbird. It flies well, landings are a different story. It took me a few days to built it. I'm running it with a NTM propdrive 28-30 1200kv motor with 9 a inch propeller. its a bit nose heavy but flies well.

NICE! I used to build rubber-powered Guillow's kits when I was a kid and back in the 1970s and '80s you could convert them to gas and some of the bigger ones to R/C. I have a couple of kits still left in the original unopened boxes and maybe I'll have to try out some of the newer and lighter propulsion technology on them. Once again - NICE!

Absolutely fabulous. What is it covered with? How do you cut in the flaps? How do you mount the servos? Control rods? Battery and ESC mount? So many questions, I would so love to try doing something like this, but I don’t know where to start
It's covered with tissue and dope, but there is only so much i can say. Search on RcGroups forum Guillows RC conversion and you will find lots of build logs from other people, most explain the steps in great depth.

what other props have you tried with the 2205?
Beautiful plane! I own a few rs2205s too, what props & pitches have you tried with it so I can get those? I cannot get the other motors usually used with 8-9" props in this weight. Also what is the AUW of your model and what glue did you use?

NIce plane.....and repairable.....not like my childhood friend and his plastic Cox Stuka.....which the very first time he flew it...tried a dive bombing run and went nose first into a paved parking lot, thus ending his control line adventure...
Tip stall ,CG wrong, tail heavy , to fast ,bad flying , wrong color pants etc . On behalf of all the so called experts !

Nice build. if it's very fast u won't even use rubber band to hold the wing down cos the wing will just fly off the fuselage. whats the speed ? from what I see it's probably going 80-90mph!
