What if it is constant pain? I have day night both hips pain😞☹️Developed in just few weeks. Very progressive. Nothing helps, literally. Schedule mri next week

2 months later and I’m still sore. If I have the other one done I’m going to insist on something stronger than Tylenol 4 afterwards. It is barbaric to suffer so much pain while trying to go thru physical therapy

This was quite educational and helpful with identifying the (possible) underlying causes of various pains and ailments. After watching the video, I realized there are numerous things I need to start doing to take better care of my built-in shock absorbers. Plus, I especially enjoyed the photo selected for the "Ankle Sprain" slide ... I graduated from Rice University and recognized that baseball uniform! I did this surgery three months ago, but I still have numbness on both arms

Hi I have a slap tear with a small cyst, happened in 2022. No surgeries but since the tear I have been in the gym, could even do 1000 push ups a day. Lately I have started to hit the heavy bag, was doing ok but one morning I woke up in really bad shoulder pain while laying on my back and could feel the cyst by touching the top back of my shoulder between the backbone and collar bone. It hurt to even move my arm or lay on my back. The pain lasted a day or two but gradually went away for the most part but I can still feel the usual dull pain at the front of my shoulder occasionally. Do you think I made the tear worse or aggravated it?

I'm 4 weeks out from total knee replacement and I'm at 125 degrees, I'm 63 but quite fit, not over weight, most of the people I see on YT who have had a TKR are unfit and overweight, that's probably why some people take longer to recover or struggle with flexion etc. Still a long way from being able to say if the operation has been a success or not, only time will tell 👍

I relate to her story 😢 I’m 40 years old and did my right hip over a year now and my left hip, it’s been 6weeks after op now…. I used to be so active, I run, go to the gym everyday and now I’m scared of doing all that again. Any suggestions on how to stay fit and in shape by continuing to exercise and going to the gym without dislocating my hips?

No way is this 6 weeks out. It's still pretty stiff and though you can get over 120, there is no way there is that much strength and flexibility.

I see the surgeon next week for this.

I also have doubts about a lot of these videos,had my left knee replaced march last year worked out ok,but an awful lot of hard work.Had my right knee replaced march of this year , working out good again but loads of hard work ahead of me,keep the faith😊

I am a 74 year old male, had a tkr on right knee. I have to say the first two weeks after the surgery was pure HELL. My left knee needs replacement but at my age I doubt I will do it. Anyone that says this is not painful is full of it. Total recovery time to normal 6 - 12 months.

Dr. Chalnick is the epitomy of what a surgeon should be. Amazingly precise, extremely careful as to ensuring the safe outcomes of a procedure. I had two total knee replacements done by him. In fact, within a 5 month period. They needed to be done. My recovery now complete, my life recovered from two bad bone on bone situations. I now walk without pain, and am gradually renewing many of the activities I used to do.

What type of specific surgery though?

My 6-year-old daughter is fascinated with everything human body-related and wants to be a doctor. What is one thing I can encourage her to do to help keep her interested or help her with this journey as she goes through school?

I have a shoulder labral tear and a cyst on spinoglenoid notch and measures approximately 1.5 X 1.4 x 1.3 Cm. I was given a cortisone shot for pain and it has relived 95% of the pain, but the cyst is definitely pressing up on my nerve cashing severe pain when i didn't have cortisone. Doc suggested shoulder surgery but i cant do that RIGHT now. seeking to try Ultrasound-guided cyst aspiration... then we can talk surgery but i'm cannot do surgery right now.

With all due respect. There's no point in minimizing this surgery. It's very painful and recovery takes a lot of work. I know it's not good for business but if surgeons were honest there would be less surgery $. If you need it you need it. If you're on the fence WAIT.

Yeah after 4 days the pain went away but the first two nights were the worst of my life right now i’m almost 3 weeks OP and love seeing my improvements everyday. One important thing i’m learning is your PT sessions and your at home workouts is the most important I’ll do them everyday at home and twice a week at PT

The worst part of this surgery is how horse your going to be and how long it takes for the swelling to go down from your esophagus it is the least painful spinal cord surgery I've ever had done!!

What can and can't you do if you have a Baker's cyst? When can you go back to your normal sports routine, playing pickleball? I understand you should focus on strengthening your glutes.

My first x-ray guided injection into my hip was last May with just a few seconds of pain during the procedure, it gave me good relief for almost 4 months, but as it wore off, 2 months later I was getting a lot of bad pain, I was given another injection last week and it was mostly excruciating during the procedure, different doctor did it, I got very upset and I did wonder how come so much dreadful pain as he was digging and manoeuvring the needle in my hip? Surely he mustn’t have anaesthetised the area enough or did he even do this?! Over one week later, it has not worked and was a waste of time😣

What is pain management??? I have been referred to two and neither can tell me what they do. The first one I called right away told me first thing thatthey did not give pain meds, at which time I asked what they did. i have been to a doctor for shots and they didn't work so now what. I am starting to feel that the whole medical profession is full of shit. The will give you all of the experimental vaccines you want but not try to help you in any way..
