Hello, everyone
I've always loved acting and making videos, so I absolutely love RUclips.
On RUclips. I like to make parodies, music videos, and stop motion, although I do want to get into more dramatic works and maybe find some special effects programs. On a side note, I love swordsmanship, and I want to learn more about different styles (Kendo, German Longsword, Viking combat, etc). I don't claim to be a sword expert, but I am learning, and I'm learning how to make swords. ^_^

Quenching a Sword
Quenching a bare blade from Albion Swords. I haven't really shared much on smithing since I've had a lot of speedbumps, but this is a project I feel good about. More progress and maybe a full video of making the sword.

I did a second round of cutting with the Albion Baron back in July of 2020. I want to get more footage and cut a wider variety of targets before I make a full review for the sword, but here, I was trying to apply better cutting techniques, with varying success. I have learned a bit more since I filmed this footage, which should help for the review. I also want to get a new video editing program...

I had the idea for this after seeing the E3 trailer for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The story is of a young warrior who is chosen by the Gods to banish a great Evil from the world after he recovers his father's magic sword, Dáinsleif.

I've been planning this for a long time, but editing the whole thing was difficult to make things match up and getting all of the clips together was a bit of a hassle. Anyway, a music video crossing The Legend of Zelda with The Prince of Egypt, where Link must confront the powerful foes that hinder him from fulfilling his destiny.

Definitely a great one. It is a bit flexible though, and it is tip-leading. I'm considering a Crecy or a Viceroy as well.

I like this but it would have been better if you ended it with guts running away and crying after he processed everything that happened.
I'm gonna have an opportunity to get a baron in a trade soon. Seeing this makes me excited. Btw, if you don't mind, what would you spend on a baron now if you didn't have this one currently?
If the sword is relatively new, I'd say $1,085. Not taking shipping into account. That's the base price on Albion's website. Good luck!
If I didn't have the Baron, I'd get either a Crecy, a Viceroy, or a Ringeck.

They used to have a European distributor or shop. I don't know if it's still active though.

Henry Cavill and the actress who played Yennifer in the netflix Witcher series would be the near perfect Guts and Casca.
Well, consider yourself lucky. With the creators of Netflix's "Castlevania" planning to adapt "Berserk", Henry Cavill as the voice of Guts truly sounds like a great idea.
Is that confirmed? Because if it isn't. I'm going to be so pissed and CV was good up until the final season that is and Netflix itself is in very deep shit with not just me but the whole world for their laundry list of colossal fuck ups! They better get someone who understands Berserk(and by understand, I mean the lore, the characters, the environment, the meaning behind the characters actions, the emotion of the dark world that they live in down to the very fabric of Kentaro's masterpiece. With that being said I do not have any hopes for Netflix doing any of that, but they will pull a He-Man(and do not think that they will not). So until I see a trailer or anything that looks and feels like Berserk my hopes are near none existent(that is due largely to Hollywood constantly screwing the fans over with their shit imitations(just like that Cowboy Bebop's live action) it is not even out and it already looks like flaccid diarrhea. Give it to anyone else besides Netflix. Also I do not believe in luck.

What's the distal taper on the blade?
The distal taper is very defined and generous. I don't have exact measurements, but the sword is quite thin yet stout past the fuller. Swords just as large that may be thinner would likely be the Albion Duke, which is of similar size to the Baron but with a wider blade.

@@dimitrizaitsew1988 you're welcome! Overall, the Baron is one of, if not the largest longsword models Albion offers in terms of length and weight. Despite its size and weight, it's well balanced and has a ton of authority in the cut, especially when wielded by a capable swordsman.

Normally, I'd be annoyed because every single AMV uses this song for the main couple of the series but here the song actually suits them and I love it.
