Can be cheaper, but you should be buying the best tubes you can afford, and if you get good tubes, 10k is reasonable. Weight is really the only con and it's not that bad. Being able to split it up is worth it.

No, I haven't. Just the non powered bridge from them
I ordered it. Like the idea of leaving batteries out of the 14s and leaving the battery caps alone. Might even make the front side slightly lighter to leave the front batteries out. Alkaline one the back of my head help offset weight and save $$$ in the long run without ever risking $4k NVGs to battery corrosion.

Ok. Hear me out. I know they're chinamen. But that Holosun thermal is gonna come in at that price point that is gonna give nv an attitude adjustment.
Totally agree. It seems to be the way things are going. Hopefully those are on the cheaper end when they finally come out. Yeah, China unfortunately, but I'm a bit of a somogear fan, if i must admit
Thermal is not nightvision.
Not convinced. The thermal sensor on the cheaper model is a 320 core and only going to be good for real up close work. The ‘fusion’ model with thermal and NV does t use a light intensifier tube, it’s digital, and IMO digital just isn’t there yet. 50hz refresh rate and it’s performance in very low light is nowhere near a gen 3 tube.
one simple thing thermal will never be able to do is look through glass, so you can't drive with them. That being said I would be head over heels in love with dirt cheap 1080p thermal sensors out and about
