Massachusetts Compliant AR Pistol.
Просмотров 1,9 тыс.9 месяцев назад
Overview of my Massachusetts compliant AR pistol build. Pistols in MA need to be under 50 oz. That makes AR pistols unicorns in the state. This build uses a fixed, non removable magazine. Since a removable magazine is one of the main criteria for an “assault weapon”, this fixed magazine build isn’t considered an assault weapon and is not subject to the AWB rules. Does the fixed magazine create ...

is 16 inch barrel okay on a fixed mag lower for pistol build?
very good video
can yu take that peice out to make it a plus 5?
@@FullyBkullykeyy No. The extension is solid except for a small space for the weight. The +0 is for shitty restricted states like mass. Strike does make a +5 for people in free states.
@@AccidentalMarksman i found one that doesnt have the metal peice in the middle like yu have to put it together yurself that why i asked it looks like yu can turn it to one thats y i asked yu think i should still try it?
Yes..I did it to mine
My G2s was my first 2 stage, so it had the most rounds but the MBT2s easily a better trigger. 1 G2s vs 4 MBT2s says it all.
It's a shame that you have and don't have, what good is 10 ammunition in combat, such an expensive weapon for nothing?
How has it held up?
@@Brancovtn65 great! Zero issues. Some wear and tear from hitting the ground on reloads but no breakage or pop offs
@@AccidentalMarksman Nice. Some other guy on another video said not to buy it with no explanation why. I’ll probably pick one up thanks.
Seems a bit long to be a pistol.
12.5 barrel. Linear comp is about 3.5”. Comp is tucked into a 15” hand guard. While it is long with the comp, it’s still a pistol due to barrel length.
What was your move after they banned the pistol brace?
These problems were solved with the Gen 2 lower
I ordered mines 3 weeks ago how long did it take u to get yours brother?
Who'd you order from? I hear they normally arrive in like 5 days

is this the gen two i’m planning on getting gen two

Is that the Polymer80 PF940V2 frame for Glock 17 or the PF940V1 (PF940C Compact) for Glock 19? Just wondering if you were showing the 17rd Mag w10rd Block or the 15rd Mag w10rd Block. If this is the 17rd, can you confirm the EMP +0 will work with 15rd G19 Mags? SI says this was designed for G17 Mags, but can also work with G19 Mags...just wondering if you tested the EMP +0 on both type of magazines...
@@EZedp it s a p80 940v2 and 10rd g17 mags…not blocked. I do not have any g19 mags. To the best of my knowledge The emp does work on g19 mags but the angle is slightly different.
@@AccidentalMarksman yea just confirmed with SI..
Junk i had high hopes for, that take down slide lever hole its to big ,i tryed to put a wider one as i could find & ad some tin foil ,i told geisler it did not fit right ,the plastic is just plastic ,they say they dont have gen 2 ,but i seen the videos ,never had these issues with p80 ,for $99.00 at the time we should be getting reliable frame,,looks like you have made a shim,i dont get why guys like them or why there are not more junk vidios out there
Frame feels great compared to p80. I like it much better than my p80’s. That’s pretty much the only reason I put up with the take down slot issue. Gen2 is out. I’m definitely going to try it. Husky Armory had them in stock.
Where are you getting p80s for 99?!?!🤯
@@Mrweightloser77 Try mas Defence but i was refuring to the cost of a gen one & nothing from them, guess Geisler dont stand Behind there products 5th email being sent ,i am surprized i dont see more videos about there bad frames ,the gen 1s are stil for sale too stay away far away,a range toy at best i wont trust for malfuncion reasons
I just ordered the mag well and emp and I can’t wait to install them. They look good on your firearms so I’m sure I’ll be happy the way they look in mine.
Nice too bad we here living in ma have to jump hoops to have something like this rather that the real deal that everything works intended 😊
So why did you turn off comments on your LamRue video?
I probably f’d up. I’ll check it and turn them on
i’m building one and i’m having slide release problems my pin won’t go though because of it any tips?
I know junk & giesler wont stand behind it,unless you make your on shim it wont work right ,for the money it should work psa dagger frame 49.00 on sale all the work is done just has to go threw FFL p80 never had any issues .i may cut mine & ship to it to them with a long letter, couse with lside that wont got into battery right i wont even try to shoot ,i could but why it will have malfunctions, there a gen 2 out there
I live in Massachusetts. Great video. I purchased a pre ban rifle.
We greatly appreciate you making a video for the G2S. Alot of people forget about greasing/lubing those contact points. I'm excited to see how your range trip goes!
The more I dry fire with it, the more I like it. Hopefully range time soon.
I personally like the Bear Flag loaders because it doesn't drop the bolt. I've had an issue myself where the last cartridge just dropped on top of the mag not in it and when the bolt goes forward that obviously causes a double feed. I also use the magpul B.A.D. lever to make the bolt release ambi essentially. May not be as fast but with more control you can look in the chamber before dropping the bolt manually. That way if there's a loose round you can tilt the rifle drop the round and get back in the fight. Either way the both loaders have their pros and cons.
Thanks. I’m going to look into the Bear flag loaders.
JC arms is the way to go for FMGs. Like the build.
Hey bro, I am looking into building an AR pistol from scratch, my question is what guidelines did you go by to build yours? I keep seeing conflicting information about AR pistols and their legality, but given how this video isnt fuggin 9yrs old I was hoping you could provide me with the specs you went by to adhere to? I heard that you cant do an AR pistol with a weight over 50 ounces, obviously has to have a pinned mag (which sucks), but what about the barrel attachments? Dont you have to have a welded A2 birdcage at the end? Trying to navigate thru whats true and whats not has been quite the hassle. I want to make sure I am completely within the laws when I start getting the ball rolling on this build. Any help would be appreciated, thanks man
I spoke to the guy that owns JC arms and my local ffl. Both told me that since a detachable mag is one of the criteria for an assault weapon…. A firearm built with fixed mag lower is not subject to the restrictions of the assault weapon ban. If using a fixed mag lower to build an ar pistol… -build it up with a barrel under 16” -using ma gun portal register/efa-10 as pistol. The efa-10 actually says “handgun” Since it is fixed mag and not subject to the assault weapon ban.. -the muzzle device doesn’t need to be pin and welded. - the pistol brace (not stock) can be adjustable -50oz rule doesn’t apply One thing to remember is pistols cannot have a vertical foregrip. I’m actually considering filing the atf paperwork and turning my ar pistol into an sbr. It would now need to follow the assault weapon rules but I’d have a shorter rifle and detachable mag.
The people’s republic of assacusetts 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Does anyone know y mine isn’t racking a round? It hits the barrel when I try to put one up but goes smooth with no mag
Obviously the mag homie😊
@@tdotwitaglock nah I tried like 3 different mags I think it might be the barrel because it won’t feed it gets caught by the lio
@@tdotwitaglock u where right lmao
@@cesarayala2280 I knew it sometimes those mags don’t fit so if you want to use it and it be reliable for range use put a sticker on it somewhere where it fills that gap in so it don’t shake
Can you put oem mags ?
Check out the debate between Colion Noir and John Rosenthal and skip the the 20:07 mark, That's the man who leads the gun control lobby in MA. As frustrating as it is I recommend listening the the entire podcast, at one point John said something like. "what do you want a tank to blow up and hole city." We are governed by midwits.
i built a giesler frame recently and when i dry fire it the slide moves up a little. I seen other people have the same problem
Your take down lever slot is too wide. If you shim in front of tons the take down lever with something about the thickness of a credit card it should stop that movement. Ideally take your time and Use something that matches the frame color. I know. I know…..not ideal. Hopefully Geisler worked out the bugs with thier v2 frames.
I put a SIM card in there bro it fix the slide creep or cut a old credit card and fix it in the slot
Hey. It’s a me!!
Did you shim the trigger housing and take down lever slot ?
@@steviesmith9502 The trigger housing was fine. OEM housing fit with no slop or rocking. I did have to shim the takedown slot. I knew that would need to happen. I know that’s a deal breaker for some builders but it wasn’t difficult and didn’t take long. I like the frame a lot. I’d definitely build another Geisler.
