2002 BMX Worlds. Park/Street.
A little bit of footage from the 2002 BMX Worlds in Cologne, Germany.
I was running out of tape and battery and I just got bits and pieces to try get a few riders before it ran out.
The tape is a bit glitchy on the edges but I wanted to upload what I had of this comp so others could see it.
Riders Include Dave Osato, John Heaton, Ben Manual, Clint Millar, Colin Mackay, Ruben Alcantara, Chris Mahoney and Sandy Carson taking a big crash on the wall ride and Matt Beringer doing a candybar wheelie!

BMX Dirt final at the 1999 Planet X Games at the EKKA in Brisbane. TJ Lavin and Allan Cooke made the trip over from the USA to compete against Australia's best. Spent and hour in Melbourne on the 24th November 2019. Thought i would give 120fps a try and get some nice close up slowmo shots of what happens around Fed Square and Flinders St on a Sunday. Mat Hoffman made a trip to the Gold Coast in 1991 to do some demos. was waiting for the jay miron 540 whip. classic. looks so good. awesome riding all around. matt hoffman is the goat. innovator. no one throws those variations anymore.. once in a while one shows up here or there for a little steez but not too often.

I dont recognize the dudes with the open face helmets. Who are they?
John Taylor at 2.20, Chris Mahoney at 3.52, Could be Alex Bender at 5.57 but I'm not sure. Brian Wizmerski at 6.10. Garret Byrnes at 6.24. Matt Beringer at 7.32. Joe Rich at 10.26. Stuart King at 11.04 and he did have a nice crash to his face which the skate helmet did nothing to protect really. I hope that helps.

Why does it look like no one liked the ramp? Lots of hang ups and " set up " airs....
It was just a demo and seeing as it was at a Backyard Jam everyone was probably hung over from the night before! Haha

2 things: 16:22 -The incredible 900 spin at (and holy slam). 00:03 -This moment is Mat showing up at your local ramp and that's his FIRST run. If you were lucky enough to be there, you'd see Mat do this every time in this era. And there it is, captured. Mind blowing. Thanks for posting this Lindsay!

Only briefly, he unfortunately up and detonated the rear which was a very expensive carbon fibre mag!
