Dick And Dee Dee La Ti Ti La

An album cut from the early 1960's. I had this published a few months ago but took it down because trolls kept on criticizing the sound guilty. Well my comments to you is if you don't like it buy the record yourself and upload it to RUclips!

From 1966. I have to admit I do prefer Mike Douglas' version but this did chart on the country charts.

One of my favorites by Dick and Dee that is on their great "TURN AROUND" LP ALBUM. Can you also post THE RIDDLE SONG and THE OLD MAID SONG from that same LP? And SCARLET RIBBONS? Thanks.👏🥂👍
Heaven help us Fire light won’t you let me be I feel so helpless How can I find the morning Daytime heroes Save me a piece of sunshine sky A safer place where I can get up and find the morning If time is a healer Then why are we wounded And why are good people dying And I get so weary In ruins of sadness I can’t even hear people crying! But I know that too One tin soldier Fighting behind a losing cause A better world is yours If we can find the morning Heaven help us Heaven help us Heaven help us Heaven help us Heaven help us

Cledus Maggard is a musical visionary and genius and will one day receive the recognition he truly deserves. Someone at the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame needs to get Cledus in there!!!
Who grew up with this?
He was the best ! Knew how to pick good songs ...
Mr Colonna passed away a few months after I was born, but thankfully I had my grandparents and great-grandparents introduce me to his work when I was young.
My favourite Mark Dinning song is "Top 40, News and Weather and Sports, a great tune.
Watched them preform in Miami in the 60s. They were so good. We were college kids and loved their music. Brings back great memories. Only 60 years ago. Impossible.
Amen!
Remeber kathy kirby when i was young i always liked her music..
Thank you so very much
Great to hear Born to Born, which I co-wrote with Kacey Jones. I went by Josephine Reid back in the 80’s. The late Kacey Jones (Ethel) was a dear friend and co-writer and this brings back so many fond memories. Kacey passed several years ago. I still miss her.
I loved this album when I was a teenager! I just heard "The Streak" by Ray Stevens, and at the end he yells, "Ethel, you shameless hussy!" Is that where the band name came from?! So funny!
@@chuckkhubbard610 I’m glad you liked the album. Ethel and the Shameless Hussies was named after that line in The Streak. Kacey (Ethel), actually went to Ray Steven’s and asked him if he minded that they use that name, and he was quite tickled that they wanted to. Ray was a great guy and easily accessible to the songwriting community in Nashville. Sadly, Kacey passed away several years ago, but her You Tube channel, Kacey Jones, has a few videos of her performing songs you may not have heard. Check her out. Val and Becky, the two other Hussies, are alive and well. Thanks for keeping their music alive.
Hey, I’m one of the writers on the Hussie’s song Born to Burn. I went by Josephine Reid back then. The late great Kacey Jones ( lead singer) was one of my dear friends. Thanks for posting.
Sounds awful for a Guy Lombardo recording from 1934!
A lovely version of this much recorded song.
A lovely song from the wonderful Janice Harper
HEY, WOULD YOU PLEASE POST THE OTHER SIDE OF THE GREA PLATTER, TOO?!? THANKS! H.
Growing up my mother would listen to Mantovani. To this day I still listen to this, reminds me so much of my mom...RIP 😢

Watertown Ma raised love this version Rock on!
Thanks for posting old classic songs! I love them!
Lovely innocent song 😊
"The Crazies (1973)," brought me here.
Thanks for this #21 hit from July, 1942! I saw that Joel Whitburn "instrumental" reference but this vocal version sounds correct.
My folks - both 96 and still going strong - remain huge Petula Clark fans. Just like I do.
I haven't heard this in decades. I forgot it had sitars. Seems everybody wanted to put sitars in their music in the 60s since the Beatles started the trend.
I was glad to have met Mr.HenryStone and Paul.
I loved working for Hot Productions, Glenn and Gene at the record pressing factory.Magnum records.
My dad loved this song so we played at his funeral.😢
Also done by Jack Jones and Joe Herman in 1963
Since no one has comment on this yet, I figure I should''ve doen this 4 years ago when first hearing it. It is one of the warmest sounding melodies that Osborne ever covered. Osborne sings it in such a sincere way. In 1937 and 1938, Osborne made many a song that was over-doing the Slide Music glissando, and going to a point of being corny. But then every now and again, we'd get such a wonderful treat like this. Osborne's arranger Jerry Bittick really went all out for it here. Considering how these records of his are indicative per session of how he sounded throughout the years and how they changed, it's likely that they played this perhaps exactly like this over the air earlier that day. Things like this make it very clear why in the mid to late 30s he was in the top 10 Sweet bands in the country, and in the top 20 Swing bands in the country., by popular polls.
I'm assuming that is the Charles A. Prince of Columbia Records. It's apparent that the record is electrically recorded. No surface noise. I'd like to know the year of this recording.
