What an awesome event put together by a group of awesome people. Had 24 hours to finish a 530ish mile loop, that we did in 19h 45m, some of the best views West Virginia has to offer. Raised money for a good cause, and had a blast doing it.

Some highlights of the red bull mountain scramble race memorial day 2022. Ran it in my stock honda talon with 32 inch tires and 21,000 miles on the stock motor and transmission. Ended up 49th overall out of 125 buggies and 24th out of 60 some in sportsman class. I do not own the rights to any of the music in this video.

Good night out in the West Virginia woods with some good people. Went in with the attitude of going until we couldn’t anymore, and that’s exactly what happened. Ended up finding some waist deep snow drifts and one got buried for about an hour. Had to turn around and head back where we came from, busted a tire somewhere in the process but the snow was so deep couldn’t tell until we hit the road....

The 11,500 mile talon performed flawlessly the whole race. Being my first one ever, was a little nervous coming into it, but once the race started, things just started clicking and it was like I was riding around by the house. I'm doing the next one in 2025 and I've done 2 others but on a motorcycle. Ill be using my my 4 runner for this event. How difficult are the technical sections
@@lenghtofpull I think you will be just fine. Just some rocky sections. This event the fun stuff in the mon national forest, the side by sides had to take a different route, so technically we didn’t get to hit the funnest stuff of that route.

Is this event run 24 hours straight overnight or is this stopped at night then restarted.
@@HankeyMountainGarage it’s 24 hours straight. They send you the gpx file for the map the day before so you can plan some fuel stops and what not. And you have 24 hours to finish it
@WVHOOLIGANS can you switch drivers between the codriver and 3rd navigator?
@ I would assume so, but if you guys have Facebook, check out Backroads of Appalachia on there. They just announced the 2025 schedule the other day. Awesome guys that run it. Sure they’d be glad to answer any questions you may have like that.

So which do u like better the Honda or the Yamaha.
I have no complaints on the Honda, I’d buy another in a heartbeat. But the Yamaha once I put the 32s and skid plate on it, I do like it more. Just performs better pretty much all around besides tire clearance. You can fit bigger tires on the Honda

Why can’t you rotate them front to back
The stock rims were different offsets
I have a 1.5” spacer on the back wheels look into it that way you can rotate them cheaper then getting all new sets of rims
@@earlmartin9921the rims themselves are different. Even with spacers once you get the rear wheels switched with the front the geometry will be off

No not at all. I ride with more r models than x’s around here. Only thing is the steering radius in some spots

My 2021 talon is making mad sounds on the front u joint going into the dif what could I do to fix it
Moog 838 u joint will work from the autoparts store for cheaper. Or honda only sells the whole driveshaft
Had to change mine after 800 KLM on my 2019 it is a common issue with the Talon .
Man it was nice watching your video, we were in the 562 green honda we had some limp issues that turn out to be spark plug issues but we still placed 44th
Awesome! I bent a rear radius rod when i got rear ended at the end of the video, made it about 1/2 mile into my last lap, ended up 53rd. If you have a chance i put just the gopro up too. Way clearer video

Yea, amazon husky liner long john flare flap, 12x48inch.
what or how is the rear roof delete done? to flatten the roof.
Where the center bolt is on the rear of the roof, underneath, theres a big extension that comes down, just cut that off with a dremel flush with the roof, then drill a hole and run a bolt and nut with washer through where it mounted before.
Very nice. Happy to hear how well it held up. I have a 2019 Talon X, and absolutely love it.
