Amazing video! I've learned so much from this one video than I have watching any other videos about the Fed-2 as well as Zorki.

I like the fed 3, and I think it's amazing how a whole industry could be based on so many clones, and sometimes really good ones

By far the most informative video on the Zorki 4. I have three of them that are all slightly different due to the year manufactured. For me it is the most comfortable to use since I have large hands and find it easy to load. I have taken beautiful photos as well. My only issue with this camera and other Soviet cameras (rangefinders and SLRs) is the last shot on the roll. Many times, I get to the final shot and move the shutter advance and it pulls the film from the cartridge. I have started to pay more attention to the number of photos taken and end the roll accordingly. By the way, great music!

Is there any tips on how to 3D print or fabricate a new take up spool? Mine doesn't have one :(

Very curious to see the reuse of the same screw mount but for different incompatible flange distances. Even more curious to not see any distinctive marks on the lenses themselves to avoid you mounting it to a non compatible body

Your video is helpful in understanding how the Zorki 4 operates, however I wish you had explained a few more details about the operation of the shutter settings: Exactly how do you set the shutter speeds from 1 sec to 1/15th of second. I can set the speeds from 1/60th to 1/1000th, but when I try to turn the shutter adjustment to 1/15th or lower after cocking the shutter the shutter adjustment knob will not move counter clockwise to a lower setting. Another unrelated question, can I order a camera from your store in Russia and can you ship to the USA? Can you pay with a VISA card? Thanks

Superb informative video. Found a later production Fed 2 today in a shop for a very good price and in what seems to be very good condition so brought it, really nice camera. Would like to get the Jupiter 8 lens for it

I am very interested in your referral to the term "no light isolation" - light reflections inside the camera body. I have not heard this referred to before. An internet search revealed nothing. Could you please explain it a little more. I am currently test-shooting a Zenit-E and although the seals look OK i have taped all the rear opening joins with TESA tape to ensure no problems that way. I have a Kiev-4M which I have treated in exactly the same way and on some frames I get some strange light variations also some light entry onto the sprocket margin. It is not serious, just a quirky character of the camera. However your mention as above may be an explanation, I would love to hear your comment. 14:31: Can you tell me what the Russian letters "P and D" next to the release button/rewind collar stand for?

On FED 1 and FED 2 the letters next to the rewind levers are different. 2:52: FED 1 has cyrillic "B" (= latin V?), and 4:20 FED 2 has cyrillic "C and P". Can you tell what these letters stand for? Why are they different? Leica has the letter "R", "rückwärts" for return.
