"Harness Matters!!"--------Bug Out Bag Loadout Update with DIY Field Modified PSATL (updated, 2022)

Obviously, not all preppers are full of muscle and can carry ~20lb of weight with two thin, narrow straps. So, harness matters! Some update of my bug out bag. The lid pouch is DIY XPACed. After several field tests, I've discarded the previous bag, virtus 90l. MTP plus lame harness , killing me lol. Again, I couldn't emphesis more about the importance of a good harness system! Do comment if you ...

    FAQs(Also including some feedback from Bilibili, in case someone wants to ask it as well) 1: Issue with Camo? You might not need it for GHB or BOB, but definately for an INCH bag. But like I said, be flexible and wise, you can always get all by decorating your backpack or adding some covers/ghillies/plastic bags. 2: Not WARM enough? Sure thing, but depends really on where you live and how much can you withstand cold. So, get what I mean? 3: Not TESTED? Nothing wrong with keeping your gear new, espeically when you tend to buy two to three per consumable tools at one time, one for training, one for Pack storage and one for back up at home. 4: Sleeping system efficiency? Well, trade off. I don't think I will be able to carry more, like a tent or what. So, just to be "at minimum requriements". 5: Guns? Not shown, that's it. Since minor changes would apply to weapons/self-defence modules outside the back itself, depending on where I live. 6: Growing something? Pending. Not too familiar with lands here in US. But great idea.

    I’m still building mine, and it’s way more extensive than this. It has seeds and several tools that procure food. Snares, fishing kit, gill net, survival bow, parachute cord (for larger game). In an INCH scenario you need lots of ways to keep yourself fed and hydrated. You need to get some equipment to get yourself food if you’re going to go live in the woods long term.

    Must have missed the caffeine pills. So many of these videos leave out that one simple thing.

    • @lf2334
      @lf2334 6 месяцев назад

      Not sure why you consider that to be mandatory. Caffeine isn't mandatory, and for many people (myself included) they don't do anything. When you drink caffeine regularly, coffee in my case, caffeine does nothing for you. You build up an immunity.

    • @thatguy2408
      @thatguy2408 6 месяцев назад

      @@lf2334 then why do you drink it? And yes. Caffeine pills are a must. You might not be in a situation where you can stop and rest. Or build a fire for coffee. And fatigue is diminishing your abilities. No idea why someone would deny it’s a good addition. Takes almost zero space. Can be taken on the fly, chewed for faster effect. Even with resistance, then take 2 or 3. There will be a dose that will hit you. Why do I consider it a must? Alert is alive. And if you are talking a situation where it requires a bag of stuff to get home the situation could be highly dangerous and take quite some time to move distances you could do on much faster in the open. Your family is home without you. You really gonna take the time to stop and sleep unless you really have to? I mean come on man. You’re just being argumentative here. What reason would you NOT include it?

    Nice well thought out inch bag. I keep a 5 pound of peanutbutter in mine. Imo its one of the best survival foods and its under ten dollars. You can survive a long time on 5 pounds of peanutbutter and there is no cooking needed.

    • @dslick6234
      @dslick6234 6 месяцев назад

      5 pounds of peanut butter? 😂😅 if you are going to carry peanut butter, carry powdered peanut butter in tiny mylar bags. I have a 1 gallon zip lock with 100 mylar bags of powdered peanut butter. Weighs 2 pounds, 6 grams of protein each and each pouch is 1.5 servings when water is added.

    Any bug out bag for those that have disabilities ???

    • @wolfwarriorprepper
      @wolfwarriorprepper Год назад

      Well, maybe define this disability first. If you are talking about the sterotype of "disabled", no offence, a powered wheel chair with pouches attached and even a gun holder would be perfect. Or at least, it is worth questionning whether you should bug in or bug out with your specific difficulties.
