great video can you put static grass on top of this after it dries and would the process be the same with the static grass thanks
Just acquired one of these. Thanks for showing the wiring.
I just started putting ground cover down on my S scale post-war American Flyer layout and tried to do it with the hair spray and paint-glue mix method... Unfortunately, the ground cover decided to clump up in the spot where I put the hair spray and ruin that section of the layout! Furthermore, the parts I did not spray did not stick to the glue! I am hardly new to this hobby but this is the first time I tried to do professional scenery since my grandpa never did, so until now I did not do so either. I have been looking for a method to stick the ground cover down without tearing it all up. (Mainly because I have no money to spend on more of the stuff, I guess being 12 can do that sometimes.) This video showed just the method I was looking for! Hopefully it works out for me, although I won't be terribly surprised if I mess it up somehow! -Olivipero
I have the same exact one! I got mine for Christmas in about 1972, and it was used at the time. Still have it.
Cool.... Thought I would Say this but I think I like marx trains more tham Lionel!... And that's after thirty something years in o scale... I just think their trains have such a charm to them. That lionel doesn't have.. Last few years I have had nothing but marx around the christmas tree anyway totally love this train
Love it!
Thank you!
Your hold music is from the macron show. 😂
Thank you very much for the help!
Congrats on getting it running.....those pancake motors were 100% JUNK from go!
A pencil eraser works great for polishing the commutator. Have you found a good replacement for the brushes and or brush springs? The brushes are usually pretty good, just dirty, but the springs can get cooked and other be deformed or broken. I haven't found a good replacement source.
Do you have a video on prewar reverse drum? Thanks
I wonder how many little kids got severely cut sticking their fingers between those "safety" guard rails. 😂
I found one of these at a train show and I am yet to get it running
What happens if you don't use alcohol first?
Thanks a lot ! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks for the tips
Lone a Tootsietoy, I do a lot of customs with them.

I have the early American flyer ho wabash Hudson nyc style it’s made in 1945
What grass is that?
Purchased one of these today (along with 2 coaches and a baggage car) and going to embark on this same journey. Thanks for the video.
I'll take any chrysler toy cars you don't want
What would be the pros and cons of motorizing the rear truck?
Nice!
Well done....
Ii JJ JJ no ceiling fan
Lego
I think what you have 10 inch one Is Super Electric fan and nice old fans there
I have the ATSF version of that locomotive
Why add the alcohol to the grass?
so that the glue can really sink down
Looks good Sometimes it's good to go back to the small trains
Harbor Breeze was much better back in the '90s and '00s, now most of them are just ugly pieces of junk.
Looks really awesome man. Hope you're doing well and hope you're doing all right. I hope you get to a thousand
Very nice
I have a few of these locos. I swapped out the motors with a 5 pack of 5-pole motors i found on ebay and even replaced the white nylon axle and worm gears with ones made of delrin, black plastic . Now they run super smooth and extremely quiet. Enough that i am gonna put dcc w/ sound in them.
where you located
IA
Cool
I see that you didn’t mention the paper insulators. It will short out without them.
I have three of these in various states of repair.
Pretty train
These are so rare, I have ever only got to hold one.💔 Edit: I’m stupid and I thought that people would be sad for me and my luck would go up to find a mercury. I have found one and I have fixed it.😂
Thats a fine looking ken kidder plantation locomotive you have running up on top
Wow, a Lowe’s in Iowa.
It's nice and solid and, it will out last those overpriced DCC locomotives. That locomotive was built to last.
I have a Lionel/Marx oo gauge nyc style Hudson Santa Fe warhorse set
The GVX! This is the Yugo to buy.
