In the session window (not the arrangement window) Just above the sends knobs, you’ll see ins and outs routings. On a track with an instrument of your choosing, select Harmony Bloom as the in from. And just below that there will be another box where you click on and select Harmony Bloom as well. And you need the record enabled on too on that track. Then it should get MiDi data coming from Harmony. Good luck.

Hi. You may want to try "Waves Space Rider" Plug-in. I now use it and it's awesome. It does the same thing as my technique, but it does it automatically for you. It takes the incoming signal and automates how much ducking of the effects depending on the signal strength, in real time. In that way, it only ducks the needed amount depending on the signal it receives. (I'll be doing a video in it soon i'm sure.) Thanks again DJ Burgstarre

The VST does not come with any sounds of its own. Do you know how to “route” it? Basically you would put harmony bloom on a midi track, then on a separate midi track that has an instrument and sound of your choice, you would then set the “input” of that track to receive midi from the harmony bloom track. (I’m sure you could find detailed RUclips tutorial about how to route tracks) Good luck! DJ Burgstarre

Thanks for the comment and watching. Yes, there are a number of ways to use the device. Capturing the MIDI notes when you find something you really like is a good idea. You could even capture a few different ones to use in different parts of the overall track. I've just left mine random for the fun of it. DJ Burgstarre

Hello, Thanks for the comment. Yes, this quick and dirty trick is not perfect. However, I found a great M4L device called "AutoTuna" that does do proper Harmonies. Hopefully I can create a new video demonstrating how to use it, and some music theory to support the results. DJ Burgstarre

Thats a good idea. I am using these examples for people recording straight into the box. If you have a mixing console and the ability to listen to your live playing using the direct out of your console or even an amp with direct out, there may be other options for recording without latency because you may not need to here your Ableton Live routing. Hello, I believe the best use and reason for the design of this feature was to use it with a piece of HW. Like a drum machine, keeping your instruments in your session synced up to it or a live drummer. Others may use this when using Ableton for DJing. ..Where they are syncing up two tracks. I suppose trying so sync something quiet, against your live drummer in a small room would be a challenge, if not impossible. Because you're right, this will react to the loudest Tempo it hears. If you are using this to sync your session up to your live drummer then yes, the hi hat mic or kick drum mic would be a good choice. Hope this helps! Thanks, DJ Burgstarre

Hi, you can search the web for free and paid Cthulhu presets. Over the last few years I have added a bunch of presets from various places.
