It was well into the night that Nina's phone rang, shrill into her case notes. The homeless man's voice was shaking but resolute. "Miss Steele? It's me-from the park. I think I found that car-the one I told you about. It's parked outside an old warehouse down by the docks. But it gets worse. Four guys in black just went inside, carrying some weird equipment, like cameras and stuff.
Nina's heart raced. It was bigger than what she had envisioned. "Thank you. Stay safe. I'll take it from here." She hung up, mentally preparing herself for what lay ahead.
