Can you make it open a beer bottle? asking for a friend....
What do you mean by putting brass oni it, I don't understand how that works
Anyone else notice the 2nd mark was at 2.5. Not 2.25 inches 😊
can't wait to make one!
Great video BUT- NEVER hammer on the anvil with hardy in place.!!!!!! Many smiths have been seriously hurt doing that.
Excellent
I agree with TALLYTHER below. This was VERY well done, with great explanation and visual instructions. Thank you young man, and keep it up. I'm headed to my man cave to start on one right now !!
Great.
Great description of the process. I made 10 blanks today for next time I fire up the forge.
Nice job!
Brilliant ✝️♥️💐 I wish you would make more videos.... Your content is really good and could easily become profitable.
I will be making more content but I am in the process of constructing a workshop
Still selling the forged crosses?
I do not currently have any in stock as i am working on moving workshops
Thank you for the fantastic how-to. Well done. As you mentioned, there are opportunities to tailor to a particular preference; I'll build one that is tig-welded to a nice base to free-stand on a shelf. You've given me the start and inspiration. Thanks again.
Where did you get your “touch mark” punch?
i bought it from a small shop on Esty. I looked back for it again but it no longer exists. if you look for a place that does EDM machining then they should be able to make just about anything
Great job! Love the method What is the rpm of the bandsaw? Is it 14 tpi? Bi metal?.thanks.
it is probably around 60-120 RPM and yes it is 14 TPI
GOOD JOB
Very nice brother. Thumbs up and a new subscriber.
Good work 👍🙏✝️🙏✝️🙏✝️
That is Fantastic!
Thanks! I’m definitely going to make some of these. :)
This is by far the most thorough description of doing this type of cross. Very well done!
Excellent
Beautiful job. They turned out very clean and elagent design. Forge on. God bless.
Very nice job. Forge On. Keep Making. God bless.
Very nice job. Forge on. God bless.
I know different markets will dictate price but is that a $10 cross? Drill a hole in the top and hang it on a walk or from the rear view mirror.
please tell the machine name in which you cut the rod from between
It’s a Milwaukee portaband bandsaw. I mounted it on the wall with some scraps of wood and replaced the lower guide with a large flat plate
What kind of bandsaw do you use
It’s the harbour freight Bauer portaband with a plate mounted on top of the blade guide
Awesome I like your calm voice and easy instructions
Было интересно.Обязательно попробую сделать похожий крестик.
Great work. Thank you for posting.
Can you forge pentagramm this way?
Sorry, I did not see the finish you put on at the end. Really makes it pop! What kind of finish is that? Thanks, John in Colorado
Great videos!! More please!
Very, very nice job,. Can you show the heating process an materials you add?
Thanks for posting such a great video I’m starting out working with steel and I followed along and was very happy with the end result
Genius! That was a really slick way to get that heart formed. I don't recall seeing that before. This is a great project. Thanks for sharing!
That's cool
Thanks so much for this video. I now know where I've been doing things wrong; hopefully the cross I will do tomorrow will be as successful as yours. Didn't cut that piece out of the one I made last year, and I think that will make all the difference.
@Edwin Brecken I've made three of them in the last few days, and showed a student how it was done. It works!
I’m glad I could help
Excellent instructional video. Best version for a split cross I've seen so far.
Thanks, it’s awesome 👍🏻
Very nice! Thank you
I made the mistake of making one of these for a friend now all her friends want one.
That’s how it works
PLEASE,from an old smith, clean off your anvil between heats so you don't dent material or lose an eye...Great video. Thanks,
I ware good safety glasses. I save those lil pieces and put them back on the anvil when I want the piece to have an antique texture.... Merry CHRISTmas
Kool
Excellent craftsmanship, very nice. THANK you.
Very nice work and nice anvil. Peter Wright anvil?
i am not sure what it is. the proportions appear to be the same as the peter wrighe but the only markings is a number on one side
Nice job mate.
Thanks
Do you sell the crosses?
chuck Albright I do but I have not had the time to make them at the moment.
@@nathansforge Ok, can you recommend someone else I can contact for similar crosses?
