I'm a GenZ, but I agree with everyone saying this is scarier than modern horror film, definitely more haunting. The way he is just floating outside the window, calmly watching and waiting is so unsettling. Like something out of a nightmare caught on film. The organ playing at the end really adds to the otherwordly horror and even sadness of the scene

What I would love to know is, how did they get that effect into the vampires' contact lenses that makes their eyes look like they're glowing? They're haunting, which I think is a great way to portray a vampire. If anything scares me about a person's appearance, it's their eyes. They're even scarier if they glow. Those contacts are so cool!

Scary as f*ck when I was a kid and yet no jump scares, just the creepiest atmosphere in the world. Greatly underrated movie.

I got to meet both those guys in NJ at a convention. I talked to both of them for a while and shook their hands. Their tables were next to each other. That was an awesome horror movie fan experience. 👍🏻

First UK broadcast on BBC one in 1980,back then only 3 tv channels BBC 1,2, ITV. Channels would shut down by midnight/1am.

I still regard this as the best horror ever made. Really scared me as a teen and to this day I think twice before watching it.
