Whatcha Doin? Spring Cleanin 2024
You're not following the directions
Um ok you Zig Zag across the wall looking for the "pop" not much more then that the magnet just isn't that strong on plaster walls in comparison to the other. But I used it on sheetrock in a previous video and worked great. I do mention plaster thickness may play a part in that but for old thick plaster I personally would recommend the C. H. Hanson . Thanks for playing.
@@JamesABeckHouse You're not playing fair. You had to use a string hack with the CH Hanson in order to increase its sensitively. The StudPoP has that sensitivity built in because of its moving popper. The magnets in both products are pretty much the same strength. Same for the StudBuddy. Additionally, you're not following the directions. Rather than zig-zagging all over the place, move the StudPoP back and forth 24" and down 2" between sweeps, When the popper lifts UP that means you're on top of a nail/tack/screw which is probably on top of a stud. So now, go straight up and straight down and you should see the popper continually toggle because you're going over the rest of the lath tacks. Now go back and try it again. If you still think that the Hanson with its awkward string is better, then have it your way. Thanks for playing.
Cool
A new tool I will ask for for my birthday!
Great comparison!! Thank you 😊
you are so amazing
Great pictures
Greetings from Germany. Love your Videos and will always remember the wall was falling. ❤❤❤
Loved that you fixed it!!! Good on ya!!! I'm sure nobody will enjoy it more and thanks to that family for giving back a bit of the history of the home! You are a multi talented man!! Wow!!!!❤🎉😊
The ending especially the ghost 🤣
Are you both already retired or are you weekend warriors? Beautiful home! The house just keeps getting better! 😊

Love it!! So much nicer!! 😊
Hey! Where was the ding when you mentioned a "project"? That always made me 😂
@@lisalackas4036 I can’t believe I forgot that!
@JamesABeckHouse lol
love what you did.
That looks so much nicer.
You folks sure do know what you're doing. You bring a lot of experience to save this beautiful queen. Thanks for posting😊 👏👏👍👍😊😊
love the scooby doo cosplay
Good job, Maynard!
Looks great
Good detective work and door replacement
I love the montages at the end. That's a bug improvement.
I am amazed how you can carry that door around. I know from our Victorian house those doors are heavy.
Dogs and cats living together mass hysteria… nice low key ghostbusters reference
It is very fortunate that 13:13 they didn't cut the baseboard and picture rail out to put in the new wall. Someone's previous laziness worked to your advantage. I have never seen someone install a wall over the carpet, that's a first for me. 🤣
I know, you have a carriage house with pieces (trim, doors, windows, etc) in it but have you gone through it all to check for what's there and what about the attic. Is there a basement?
@icemancometh8679 yes we have a basement will probably do a tour soon
I am a 78 year old widow. My husband and I worked on houses our entire marriage. We remodeled, built, rebuilt, reconfigured, you name it. I was also a wallpaper installer, including Victorian homes! 14 foot ceilings aren't the problem, but those stairways!!! I love how you are seriously being this lady back to her previous glory. I am so curious about your background. I'm guessing the building trades somewhere along the way. Your appreciation of the structure and diligence on restoring it are to be lauded! Thanks for sharing your project
@@sylviabaker5975yeah not looking forward to that stairway at all. Couldn’t really see it in this video but will try and show it more next time.
That is the cleanest wall removal I've ever seen!
awesome - like a magical renovation
Looks much better with the door down.
Like the opening. Love the beautiful hardware. Thanks for sharing.
Take it down.
The men of the house are at the library doing D&D, but I can't wait to show them this video, especially the ending. Hilarious.
Love the Scooby Do ending! You guys are so funny!
Love it! I love that you're restoring the house to its original form. We own a 1924 Chicago Bungalow, and it was so cool to find original doors and windows.
Thanks for name dropping "Plaster Magic"! This is the solution for our failing plaster in the powder room ceiling. Love the wallpapers! Bravo!
As always, great project upload
We are so jealous. Our 1978 ranch has so little character, but we fill it with cool stuff. I just thought about how cool it would be for you to have an absinth set. My husband bought me one a few years ago and we don't even drink the stuff. LOL.
It does look right!😄👍
Absolutely love your updates. You give us everything history, restoration and comedy!! Who could ask for more ❤
Love it 😊 looks so much better 😍 can I just say Y'ALL ROCK...Please don't stop posting we love the updates ❤❤😊
😅🤣😂 Thanks! That was awesome!!!
Yay! A new upload! Loved the "opening"!😆
Thank you Richard and Kendra! This week I need all of the fun distractions I can watch. I love seeing your projects and picturing the outcome.

Love it!
cant wait till christmas
loved it all
Great job. Enjoyed all the great decorations.
I can hardly wait to see what you do for Christmas.
New mantel looks amazing. You could probably taper your trim board to match the mantel dimensions using a hand plane. Shouldn’t be too difficult.
I had my wife follow the Facebook page. I don’t have Facebook but, I didn’t want to miss out. I’ve already started to decorate for Christmas. Can’t wait to see your display!
