Guitar Basics - The Hellacopters 'I might come see you tonight' - Guitars only
I thought it might be cool before starting a series of guitar styles chats/analysis, if I took the time to try to understand what's actually behind these guitar parts. I'm sure I didn't get this 100% accurate, but I don't really intend to, since both of this guys most of the times play what they feel, and maybe try, in some songs, to make a well crafted, thoughtful solo/guitar part.
SO, I tried to appreciate a bit more, instead of just playing rythm and solo, and listen out for those tiny differences that make their riffs sound amazing.
Hope you like it, It's fun, but sometimes a bit stressful to make this sort of videos.

Not much to say about this one. It's a classic! 20 years of this great album! HIGH VISIBILITY! There are a few mistakes here and there, but it's a great song to play along to! I used a Crybaby wah for the first bit of the guitar solo. It's an old Dunlop JH-1 'Jimy Hendrix' model. If some of you want, I can make a quick tutorial for this one, since it's not that complicated! Thanks for watching!!

In this case, the Storm pedal is running the whole time. That thing REALLY makes a change in tone! Othe than that, Line 6 Gearbox.

I'm a bit late to the party but this is great playing and really helped me. Playing this with the band I'm the only guitarist so I'm going to have to fill in a bit as i think there at least 2 guitars on the track...lol.
Hi Michael! Well I'm glad it helped you in any way possible! There are at least 4 guitar tracks that I can recall now... It's been a while since I last really looked into Tom's and Mike's guitar parts on their records... They usually layered a few guitar bits and details to make it sound 'full' I think... And! Let's not forget Tom used a 12string in many songs so... there's that to add to the full sound... If you're the only guy playing, I'd try to make it sound as full as you can while playing rythm, and try to stay as clean as you can on the lead parts, since they're so easy to recognise, and should be played like they're 'meant to' ifykwim...

What is the software you’re using in the background?

@@rocknrollguitarcovers5654 does that enable you to separate tracks and slow them down?
@@ctumbles74 if you have the separate tracks already, you can have them on their own, and change pitch and speed as you like. It's a recording software (and mine is VERY old, but still does what I need it to). I'm sure you'd find some tutorials on YT to help you get started 😜

Hola Felipe! Juraría que toda la discografía de los Hellacopters está afinada en Eb. Por eso la digitación es un traste más arriba, aunque el tono sea Cm. Tardé un tiempo en afinar de esa manera para tocar estos temas, y me buscaba la vida para poder tocarlo en afinación estandar, pero muchos detalles se pierden y no suena igual... No tengo tabs ni nada escrito de ninguna canción. Todo es de oído... Igual algún día me vuelvo a poner manos a la obra y hacer más videos de los detalles de algunas de las canciones...

Well... I wouldn't say 'spot on'... I tried my best, that I can tell you. It's fun to watch this again now after some time. I can see many mistakes and little details I missed.
