Astounding
Nick’s cadence still hangs around! 🥁🥁
Cool video! Especially the part about your time aboard a battleship
Tim a very good video, but J.H. Christ that repetitive music, argh. Couldn't you have chosen something, anything else ?

As a Veteran, I'd like to do this ride but I really don't like riding in large groups. Your experience kind of discouraged me from doing this. I wonder if I could start at the back of the pack and just let them ride ahead and then meat up at each overnight spot?
Don't let my experience turn you off of RFTW. I rode with staging and then in a side by side platoon. I think half the platoons ride in a staggered formation and platoon leadership will help get you comfortable. This was an amazing experience and I'm signed up again for this year. Come out and ride a leg or two or all the way.
@@tintypetim Thanks for the encouragement. I'll check it out.
I would love to do this or something like but my 05 Yamaha 650 custom clissic only holds 4 and 1/2 gallons of gas bout 200 miles
Hey don't let a 200 mile range worry you. The longest leg we did between fuel stops was about 120 miles, most were less than 100. You'd have no problem with gas range.
Thanks for sharing, from a Canadian retired sailor who is riding from Eastern Canada to do RFTW in a few weeks 😊
Awesome. I'm preparing now for this year's run. Is it May yet!
Hey brother, we had snow again last night and I have been out on my bike a couple of times in March but we are still hovering around 30°F or lower in the morning. Safe ride there and I am meeting a friend in New York and plan to leave here May 1 to be on the West Coast around 12th May.

I wish I was part of this.
Just thinking about the logistics of this is more than what I would want to work on. Food, fuel, hotel, pee breaks, breakdowns….quite an accomplishment.
The volunteers who make the run happen are AMAZING!
No trailers were harmed in this video....🤣
Thank you to all service personal who served for freedom in our world. God bless. Matt from Australia
Thank you for your service. I am grateful to US army.
At the age of 64 after 6 months of cancer treatment I got on my motorcycle in Wilmington NC and rode to Seattle WA and back to NC. Trip was almost 13,000 miles, took 65 days and rode all over 23 states. The most fun I ever had. Headed out this June for CO,Ut,NV,CA,OR,MT,WY and back home.
Ride Safe!
God Bless , safe travels . This video brought tears to my eyes , God Bless all of our Brave Veterans
Thank you!
Wish I had known about this when I could still ride. - - - - I know what you mean when you talk about the challenges of riding in a group, side-by-side, and up the exhaust pipe of the sled in front of you. No room for error on your or anyone else's part. - - - - Keep her between the ditches, the rubber side down, and the wind in your face.
Rubber side down, shiny side up, roger that. Thanks!
Great video Shipmate !!! USN "Class of 84" I SALUTE YOU!
Go Navy!
what are you both riding?
Both on Harley Ultra Limiteds
Great job capturing the heart of RFTW. You made me miss my RFTW family as I do year round when not in the midst of the run. You put a lump in my throat a couple of times but especially seeing your support crew on the overpass as you rode the Missing Man formation for your brother-in-law.
Is it May yet?
Great video, awesome trip. Thank you for your service. What a treat to be able to tour the ship you served on. Be safe.🤘🤘
Thanks! Yep, amazing to see my ship.
Wow all the support you guys got along the way. People with flags on Bridges kind of brought tears to my eyes.
Same here
When is the next one
Next RFTW? Kick Stands Up 5/17/2023
MUCH LOVE AND RESPECT TO ALL, GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Amen
Thank you for sharing your adventure. Put a knot in my throat.
Thanks for watching!
Having particapated in "Rolling THunder" previously your journey has just reminded me where i will be this Memorial Day. although my brother-in-law and I cannot/will not ride in any group larger than four bikes my appreciation to you for that closeness of your multiday ride is noted - It's just our reaction time isn't what it used to be. Great story you told!
Thank you! I hear Rolling Thunder was a great event for a great cause as well.
Great job Tim!
Thank you!
amazing
Thank you!
Was me and a buddy on the overpass at about 2:25
That's Awesome. I appreciate all those flags you brought
@@tintypetim done 5 overpasses for midway but that one for central and midway.
@@sfb1976 Thank you! It means a lot to the riders.

Thanks! I really appreciate that.
That's awesome that you got to see your old ship!!!
Yes it was!
Great soundtrack! enjoyed the editing and the story line, made it really interesting! (especially as I plan my own!)
Awesome, thank you!
Good stuff brother. Check out another brother… Dry Rock Studios. Great guy, fantastic content, and he’d love your content.
Thanks! Will do!
Enjoyed the videos of your journey. What kind of camera are you using that pans the scenic views as you ride?
Thanks! Those pan shots are recorded with a 360 camera so the video can be panned in post production. Works great for a solo rider.
What camera are you using?
The footage is from a mix of Insta360 X2 and GoPro cameras.
@@tintypetim Thanks! Where did you mount your 360?
@@jnjn1980 I have RAM mount balls on each of my mirrors so the camera can be on either side. I also have a custom mount for the remote right above my left turn signal so I can start and stop the camera without taking my eyes off the road. Worked great!
@@tintypetim great thinking! Thank you.
Outstanding

These are some amazing videos. Ride safe my friends 8:41
Thanks!
how long was the trip overall?
We were on the road for about three weeks
I’ve been going from Annapolis,md to the west coast every year except the Covid years but I’m ready to go again, I’ve always went with someone but seems like no one wants to go so I’m going to try a solo trip, I just love riding out west threw the Rockies and desert
The trip through the Rockies was amazing. Enjoy! Make it a great trip.
Man this is so amazing as a young boy of 9/10 in 1988/1989 not exactly sure what year I was lucky enough to visit the USS IOWA 🇺🇸 in my home town and historic dockyard in Portsmouth England and to this day still have the uss iowa black cap I bought with my own money..! It was truly amazing 👍
That is awesome! I was a tour guide for guests many times, but left the ship right before the trip to England.
Love your story so far. Can't wait for the next installment!
