Hello from France, if you do some nutrition analyses could you publish your resault? Espacialy the coude protéines levées? Please. 😊
Great video! Did you get any regrowth out of it?
That kind of moisture last yr should be very productive this yr
You ever use pearl millet to build the soil in a chop to drop method?
No we’ve been doing Sudan grass notill then letting it freeze kill. Then notill corn right in the next spring.
Most beautiful hay! And what a cutter/crimper.
Nice Dozer! 😀
Hello . I saw your millet hay process. It's looks good. I am going to do the same this year after wheat harvesting . Do you have the final result or any advice which can help. Thank you and best regards Mounir George khamis
Are you going to notill into the wheat stubble. I did 2 -3 years ago under pivot irrigation it made awsome feed. Plant about 20-25lb to the acre. And only feed it 30-40lb of N it will take right off. If you leave 5-6” of stubble when you mow it there’s a good chance it will grow back and you can cut it again graze or even leave what’s left for good cover. Good luck.
This is my first year with property. We have 50 chicken and if I can get those kind of results from my land I'll never have a feed bill. Looking great guy's! Love it
Ye0
keep up the good work
Where is this at on the lake? I’d love to check it out this summer, we go there all the time.
White cat point. It’s the point that sticks out on. The north side of prairie dog bay.
@@bewleycustomag5868 how did it look by the end of last fall? Did many weeds come up after drilling?
You know I’m not for sure. We’ve never made it back in there since we drilled it the weeds do take over for a few years. Then the grass starts. To thicken up and. Choke out the weeds. That flood sure made a mess of things
The internet is a smaller place then we think! I knew the time lapse of you driving looked like familiar geography. One of our pastures in just 4 miles south of that peninsula field along 183. Keep up the good work on your videos. Subscribing here and on FB.
Great looking crop. What was your fertility program? Could’ve done without Alvin and the Chipmunks music. 😂
Thanks for showing us your great farm. I wish if you make small documentary from beginning to the end.
What was your yield? Dry Matter / Amount of Bales
Need more videos on different types of millets farming...thanx for this video
Are you using auto steer or doing it free hand .
That was freehand there is a John Deere Atu in the swather but I don’t use it.
Bewley Custom AG I operated a new Holland h8000 series sp speedrower . The only way I can get nice straight rows like that is with the auto steer . 🙂
Hi just realised your from my part of the world lol long have you been away from uk
22 years this. Year mate where about a are you from ?
Flip u still have a strong accent yet bud lol I'm from the troubled part of the UK if you know what I mean lol tho I'm on the east coast just a mile or two from one of the 9 Glen's of Antrim real beautiful scenery. What all do you do on your farm? I was brought up on a farm myself dairy an sheep plus done some contracting silage slurry etc
We grow wheat . Maize for grain soybeans sorghum for grain Alfalfa for hay and I do contracting all operations for hay. No till drilling grass grains and alfalfa. Mowing with a 15ft batwing mower and spraying for wildlife areas and reseeding on the wildlife areas .
I also have worked for caterpillar for 22 years. We recently been told there pretty much packing up an going to India so i'm thinking of taking the redundancy an alway loved the though of working on farm again in America/canada. Would you or do you hire people on the farm?
Sadly I’m just a pea ant farmer only farm around 350 acres and my son helps out with the farm and contracting work. You could try and get in touch with an agency a d come over here on a H2A visa that lets you work here in the states for 10 months .
Hows it going nick amazing videos. you an your son doing really well for your selfs out there 😁😁 .hope your all keeping safe out there from covid . Speak soon bud .
Going good mate thanks a bunch we have t made any videos lately seems like I either do the same thing for a couple of weeks or I just need to get stuff done and don’t have the time to record what we’re doing. .
Is this pure sudan grass or the sorghum hybrid?
Bag says 877f hybrid. By pioneer
What brandname this
The seed or swather?
This machine what name
Heston. Now Agco Massey Ferguson.
Great music by the way
Great video I love hay
Where is this?
South central Nebraska.
@@bewleycustomag5868that’s not a Nebraska accent.
How many lbs an acre of seed did you put on and how many lbs of actual Nitrogen did you put on per acre?
We plant about 25lb to the acre the thicker is is the finer the stems. If i remember right about 60lb But evidently that was too much on this ground that lay under water last summer from the lake flooding. The hay ended up being high in nitrates so could not be fed alone to cattle it had to be diluted to about 10% of a ration. The year before I grew some under a pivot it had a total of 120lb N. And it was perfectly safe to feed by itself.
What did y’all use tomake the teeth for the rake?
They are the tines of an old crust buster cultivator.
Amazing content!!👍🏼🔥
Loving the title alden lol
wow what a great video Nick
Busy year then😂. Great video
Can always fit some more in hahah. Pretty hard to take pics and video doing the same thing for days or weeks on end. The grass spraying was 7 days a week for 3 weeks 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Nice also I’m here from snap
How many pounds to the acre did you plant?
20 lb to the acre
That’s a good looking setup!
Getter done Alden. Like it up!
Love this mate 💪😃
Now thats Cool! 0:52
I’ve never seen a crop like that before
Yea we grow a lot of different stuff here . It’s a big learning curve farming in a different continent im from Cheshire Uk originally . I came over to do the 2000 mile harvest 21 years ago and married the daughter . Now we contract and farm over here .
Bewley Custom AG I was thinking I could hear an English accent😂 have to say that was a great well put together video and I found it interesting 👍👍
