Hdr makes miracles. I had an xbox one x that played many games in 4k or a little less with hdr and i was fantastic. But the big difference eas on my ps4 slim. Most game used to play in 1080p and games withou hdr was a little bad in my lg c1 and games with hdr looked great. Of course id like to have a ps4 pro and ply it in 4k, but hdr made such a difference that i didnt miss it so much.

Tbh . Story games somtimes feel greater, especially from a distance with a 1080 . But i mean . If you 4k screen isnt oled and stuff, i feel like its not worth it anyways for me at least

Hdr on mine is super bright and colorfullike the bottom clip. When i game at night its too bright i use my own settings with brightness at 52 and contrast at 60 which still has nice colors but without my hdr brightness

Honestly, if you’re on 60hz still. Save up for a 144hz or 240. There’s a big noticeable difference. I can’t use 60 anymore because I’m so used to 144

Back in the day we used to play on <30hz TVs, LOL! It was perfectly playable at the time, so i get that many people think 60hz is perfectly fine too - but 60hz became standard for pc monitors in the mid to late 90s, and these days even budget phones (like the Samsung Galaxy A15) have 90hz displays. My pc monitor is 240hz, and this smoothness gets kinda addicting. 60fps is basically low resolution in the time dimension (instead of spatial dimention), and IMO this feels about equally "disappointing" as going back to 720p when you are used to 1440p... Today i decided to try turned up graphics in EA WRC a lot, which took me down from 160 to 110fps. I used to think 110fps was pretty good just 4 months ago (when i upgraded from the RX 6600 XT to a 4080 Super), but now it didnt feel very smooth at all...

Don't forget pixel response times g2g and HDR.. I'd love a 32" oled monitor 4x ... That'd be perfect, but I couldn't justify 2k on a monitor that could suffer from burn in. Sigh.

60-165 I can NEVER GO BACK. But it’s a double edge sword because now I also want my games to run at 140fps or more..which is a lot to ask without paying a ton with these newer games. Lol
