A new addition arrived at Shedley Wood Model Railway is the new Rapido Trains UK Metropolitan Railway E Class 0-4-4T no.1 steam locomotive (the preserved version) and it has been given a test run on the layout and so far no issues with the model after running in each direction for 1 hour. It is a fabulous model of the prototype with separate details and features a glowing firebox. In the video ...

N scale? The brown is a richer, redder brown than the Hotnby OO pullmans, I much prefer these.
How did you get your nem coupling to work? Mine gets stuck with all the detail
Nice but Southern steamies don't appeal to me.
A pleasant start to the morning - Thank You! 🙂 _With its extended smoke deflectors Bude always looked so different!_ Bachmann's 2 Cor 'R' set was formed 15th April 1948, outshopped BR(S) Green (from Malachite not CLC) on 18th January 1957 and reformed in February 1965 (BSK replaced by SK).
Cool camera angles!❤
when i get the same model ill make a movie (sodor beginnings) he will be tomas
Sometimes, it's hard to figure out which type of coaching stock suits a steamy. Your tank engine looks good with the LNER Genesis coaches. I had a pair of Suburban Coaches, and had a few steamies run with them. I'm glad I sold them, because I just couldn't make up my mind what steamy to run with them. My favourite type of coaching stock is the Chocolate & Cream Mk. 1 kind, because I'm a fan of God's Wonderful Railway. What type of coaching stock is your favourite?
All stations to Verney Junction via Shedley Wood....
Beautiful train❤🚂
Great
Am interested in your opinion on this model
Hi Rob I hope you are well Yes this is one of Oxford rail best models in my opinion. I love the stock too Simply fantastic to see Keep safe ARP
Most enjoyable - thank you!
❤loving it
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it. Rob 🙂👍
@@shedleywoodmodelrailway4789 good Rob. Regards Elizabeth🚂👋🌻⭐
Good looking railway. Fun video.
Lots of activity with so much to see - thank you! 👍 _Nice to see passengers at the station too - so often overlooked._ Maunsell Pull-Push set no.600 is such a lovely model - a Central Division set, it was outshopped 2nd October 1959 and withdrawn 12th December 1963
Thank you for watching. Glad you enjoyed it. 🙂👍
Hi rob I hope you are well Lovely running session Nice seeing q1 and your wc bob class Pleasure to watch Keep safe ARP
Another great running session. Appreciate you taking the effort to film them for us.
Absolutely superb! _Reminds me when the Peaks used to operate on inter-regionals down to Ramsgate and occassionaly to Newhaven._
Lovely runner and great video
Another superb running session I enjoyed it 👏🏿
What an amazing layout, well done sir. Your layout is so life like and your attention to detail is just amazing. I think the Southern Electrics are great. Thank you for showing us your layout. 👍🚂
I prefer the pristine look, but each to their own.
Brilliant.
Rather nice! 🙂 _Seem to recall the 12"=1' Warships had pivotless bogies - they were kept in line by the cardan shafts_
Which is why when the Germans came over to assist with problems, they couldn't understand why they were being run at dangerous speeds! After this, they were speed restricted to 'tame' the movement. I believe that bogie modifications were also made, probably around damping.
@@AshpringtonRoad Quite Graham! 😄
Another great video. Nice to see one of these Mainline Warships still running in 2024, most appear to have succumbed to the dreaded split gears.
Never had split gears on mine, but they all failed due to the motor armature running in plastic bearings as an integral part of the bogie frame. It eventually heated up due to friction and seized solid. How did anyone at Mainline/Palitoy think this was a viable construction method ? Such a shame, because it was otherwise a good model.
What bliss - a 2 HAL and 2 BIL running around! ⚡ _Remember travelling in these up to Victoria (and not forgetting behind the Warships out to Waterloo)_
Loved the Anything Goes theme, but would have preferred it if the steamies had been left till last. Excuse my being a bit picky here, I'm not telling you what to do, no siree. I know it won't always end with sweet-smelling steam engines.
Ooooh lovely
Nice steamy.
A very nice running "toffee apple" and a 4w railbus, shades of early diesel days in Norfolk!
Once warmed up it purrs along nicely! 👍 _(Reminds of class 31's thrashing up Hotel Curve [cough] years ago.....)_
All that lovely Lima pancake thrash! Thanks for the great video 😎
I enjoyed seeing your K1 running. The K1 seems to get overlooked which is a real shame because I think it is one of Hornby's best locomotive releases for both detail and running. I have K1 62006.
Nice to see your J15 running. I was running mine this afternoon and as much as I like my GWR locos, the J15 was a joy to watch as is yours.
Lovely
I used to get confused as to which engine had which wheel arrangement, between the B1 and K1. I can now see the B1 is the 4-6-0, and the K1 is the 2-6-0. Nice K1 engine, she's very beautiful. Do you have the slightly larger B1?
I have one B1 in BR late crest.
Rather nice - thank you!
I like trains
Just got one, No. 65469 in early BR Black with red coupling rods. She's gorgeous and I'm so glad I sniped her online. Love your running session too!
How many LNER engines do you have altogether?
I have quite a few probably around 30 LNER locos.
A most elegant locomotive - thank you for sharing! 👍 I always admire the views looking up the street - @0.43s - wonderful. 😎
Lovely❤
Blue with Yellow warning panels is so rarely modelled, accounting for a very short time period in the history of British Rail. Do like the van train along with the 400E Thames van @0.27 - thank you for sharing! 🐱
Hi, Is the Class 25 a new addition to the fleet? I quite like the Heljan model, I have a few of their other diesels and they all run really smoothly, just like your Class 25. That is quite an unusual livery, I think it was called Chromatic Blue as it's a bit lighter than the blue BR ended up using. Looks a good one though, thanks for the video. All the best Dave.
Nice. My new model of Hinton Manor has been renumbered 7822, and renamed Foxcote Manor. I bought the name and numberplates from Silver Tay Models, ebay. Foxcote Manor will eventually get her first run on my railway, but not till November. I've got a new Model Railway Episode in the wings for her: "Mind Your Manors".
I do love the old LSWR greyhounds, spent a bit of my youth working on the last of these at the mid-hants, happy days!
T9 is such an elegant locomotive - thank you for sharing! 🙂 Really looks the part hauling a Bulleid 59' 'Multidoor' set too.... _Lest it be of interest, 30266 it gained its late crest with outshopping from Eastleigh on 18th May 1957 (a year before it was allocated to Exmouth Junction). Set 972 was outshopped from CLC to BR(S) Green (Lancing Carriage Works) 27th February 1958._
Very topical! Hopefully the real thing will be back running on the main line shortly.
Great video, really cute models❤❤❤❤❤
