I hated the swamp the first time. I did the same thing with Mistlands. I got stomped the first time so I started on another world. Then you look up tip videos and conquer the harder biomes later on.

Nice Base!

Abominations are actually pretty easy to parry with the bronze buckler, running from them can get you into more trouble. The Root Harnesk you get from them is easily the most op piece of armor in the game due to its pierce resistance. Archers become merely annoying, so do a lot of other enemies that do pierce damage (bzzzz). Combined with heavy helmet and greaves, it stays viable all the way to the endgame.

What is your opinion on choosing seeds? I am stuck trying to get into the swamp and choose a seed to hopefully make it a little easier.

Man I am Schitzo with the thumbnails. I changed it like 20 times and 3 different concepts that I was tweaking until I decided what I wanted.

Getting better with building takes time and practice, you'll get better with time, I did.

The Swamp has become my favorite biome to permanently settle in. You will be amazed how absolutely chill the place can be. Btw, fire arrows are very meh against enemies that are constantly wet.

Always make sure you got the rested buff man, it gives 100% plus stamina regen, plus you get more xp and heal faster

My man - you put yer tools up top, you put the portal closer and make sure yer fully rested. And yer chests! Make it orderly to save time, berries and mushrooms in one, meadows resources of leather, deerskin, flint in another. Etc. Good luck and carry on! Oh yeah, get more comfort in your house, it's not much good without it.

Remember to make better food and to create fireplaces on the go to get the rested bonus, my brother in Odin! Other than that, keep it up man, fun to watch :)

To progress to Swamp you have to get yourself better food, you do that with creating a cauldron out of 10 tin, there you can create foods that give you more stamina and more health.

pro tip upgrade a wodden shield to level 2-3 and parry his atacks if u do that take a sword or mace or a knife and start making a mess repeat until it stops making sounds

Seeing the old worlds is one of the best feelings in terraria

Visiting old world in terraria or Minecraft feels so good and nostalgic like you always gets amazed that you once started with wood and then ended up with neon blocks and whole ass civilisation 😅
