Just found some still in stock and ordered one. A real shame the big companies doesn't seem to bother about these any more. Have a Sony BM10 and wanted something more flexible. Apart from a few cheap ones which only supports SBC and no fancy multipairing or anything else there seems to be only Chinese options (can't remember if I've seen multi pairing). Some may be good quality but it's a real hit 'n' miss with those unknown brands - some have outright dreadful sound while good SBC-only actually can sound decent. Bose seems to still make on but it's very much locked to the app and has all sorts of non BT functions. Wonder if it's too much to ask for a bluetooth receiver with Bluetooth 5, all the important codecs beside the mandatory SCB - that is AptX (all sorts), and LDAC if it's not too license heavy (I can live without it as long as there's aptx) - and of course HWA too - that should be a no brainer as HWA is royalty free. Perhaps also AAC but only to keep Apple fans happy. Of course multipairing - at least 3 - and if all could play simultaneously that's be really great since you can pair multiple devices and not miss notification sounds even if another device is playing music - digital output also a must. Sure the AEA2700 is almost there although it's not 100% perfect. It's BT version and codecs is a little dated now - and it's discontinued even though I found some old stock. Also if supplied by USB instead of old fashioned DC plug that'd be nice too.
