I see my knees being used to balance the boat, but I don't see it happening consistently on one side or the other. What's "to the right" in this situation? Do you not use the words "starboard" and "port" for the Currach?

But I wanted you to know I watched it, with envy, and thought you might have some reason why. Cheers, go get em. Our regatta is September 23rd and I've imported a couple of Irish rowers to help us.

I've been told I should keep my knees a little more apart than I presently do. They shouldn't knock together like that, but they should be a little bit apart and you get more power that way.@@friendsofmikeconners3122

@@jlemoo2 How do you know it’s her? Yes I know that. She was never a strong technical skater but artistic.

@@biancahotca3244 I was there and took the video. There was a big poster that the sponsor put up saying it was "Ekaterina Gordeeva." Also, I got my picture taken with her after.

"Not very good technically". She is a double gold Olympic champion who has had an ongoing career show skating ever since, over 25 years worth. People have paid a tremendous amount of money to see this technically-challenged skater. What are you needing to see from an almost-50 year old on an outdoor practice session exactly, a quad lutz? Nobody but nobody skates like Gordeeva, and her style and skill are obvious here. The deep edges, artistry and speed are unmatched. She is arguably the best female pairs skater ever. Any skater today could learn from her, any skater today would be lucky to. I think her appearance was sponsored by Hannaford Supermarkets here in Albany, NY. We have a rink here called "Empire Skate Plaza" and she appeared in the middle of the day. All the spectators are mostly on the side of the rink where I'm standing. I'd say a crowd of 50-100 were standing around and were invited to skate with her at the conclusion of the performance. (too bad I can't skate).

Joseph LeMay oh my gosh, I can’t imagine the good fortune of being there that day! And then having the option of actually skating WITH her at the end!? Honestly? That’s a total once-in-a-lifetime experience. That would’ve been one of THE highlights of my entire life. I’ve watched her skate this particular program to this song on other occasions (here on RUclips obviously). It really is a thing of beauty. Can’t help it - I always think of Sergei as Katia skates to this song. And its hard to imagine she’s not also relating to the lyrics and thinking of him, too. Anyway, this is one of the coolest things I’ve come across so far here on RUclips. Just when I thought I’d seen just about everything of Katia’s....here comes this. Thank you thank you thank you! What a treasure.
