lyrics: Silently into the night I go, Into the fragrant night, I know not where; The path is strange- My weary steps are slow- I do not find you there. I turn my gaze toward the morning sun As from the east he comes thro' the dark and the dew; The flowers lift their heads-the night is gone- But where are you? The countless weary steps I do not heed Tho' they be over land or boundless sea; I care not where the road may lead If I but come again to thee. Silently into the night I go, Into the starry night of heavenly blue; What matters where the road may lead If I but come again at last to you!?
Beautiful Voice, Brava!
Thank you because now I can sing my solo for all district I will say this after heavenly blue it Care Not
I wish pianists could phrase this the way an orchestra would.
Silently into the night I go, Into the fragrant night, I know not where; The path is strange- My weary steps are slow- I do not find you there. I turn my gaze toward the morning sun As from the east he comes thru the dark and the dew; The flowers lift their heads-the night is gone- But where are you? The countless weary steps I do not heed Tho' they be over land or boundless sea; I care not where the road may lead If I but come again at last to thee. Silently into the night I go, Into the starry night of heavenly blue; What cannot where the road may lead If I but come again at last to you!? silently silently i come to you

Just commenting so hopefully Colleen sees this before she sings it.
This is beautiful! God blessed you with a beautiful voice! Continue to use it to glorify Him ❤️
I was going to sing this song in a solo competition but I then got the flu and couldn’t preform because I lost my voice from it.

You did a very good job but at about 1:55, the lyrics are "What matters where the road may lead" instead of "I care not where the road may lead"
Nice - well done.

What Key is this in?
G major!
Is this person in things? Why do I feel like I know her?
Beautiful voice, just be careful of those triplet rhythms
DAYUM girl you are good!
Someone gave me this sheet music, thanks for showing me how it goes!! Very pretty!
Beautiful! Where did you get the sheet music from?
I have to sing this song for a solo contest at my school and I am younger than you are
Agreed with the comment of phrasing. Pay attention to punctuation, both in terms of connecting long phrases not separated by punctuation ("I turn my gaze toward the morning sun"--keep that going) and lifting after punctuation ("the flowers lift their head, the night is gone," little lift between those phrases.) In terms of presentation, it's generally agreed to sing just past the camera, rather than right at it. You wouldn't make eye contact with a judge/audience member, so avoid doing so with the camera. One more thing, you have a very sweet expression, but try for more emotional shifts and discoveries during the song. All in all, good job! You have a lovely voice. Keep singing!
Beautiful! I'm deciding which solo I should choose for a contest and I think I'm going to do this one now. Thanks for singing it so well👍🏼
I can't wait I got this song for a solo I'm really excited about it
Good comments regarding phrasing, however this is not classical music. That label is used as a generic term way too much. Definitely art song, but not classical music.
Lovely! I am singing this song as well and was looking for somebody not old who sang it well. Thanks so much for being that person :)
Thank you so much!
