Great match! Blue held in there even though he was being dominated. Some of blue’s tactics backfired, but it looks like blue hasn’t rehearsed enough. Too many reversals by red were allowed. Blue may need to pump a little iron and work on his agility a little more. Kudos to both wrestlers and their coaches. Stay strong little brothas. Dignity in conflict!

Interesting. Aston (red) who just turned 14 won the match against an older and more experienced smaller opponent. It was close. This was the 113 pound division and Ashton (Red) doesn’t have near the moves these kids do. He told me that all of his opponents are real good and he had to be on his “A” game just to match their talents.

Ashton (red) just turned 14 and knew he was facing the number 3 ranked wrestler in the nation (blue). He was happy he didn’t get pinned. It was a good experience and needed this match and loss to learn. Ashton pinned his next two matches.

I always think it's a shame when a ground fight that is at the end is broken off. Actually, you should let the young guys keep wrestling until one is lying on his back. I know the rules are different today, but I regret that.
