how to attach panel on fridge door (Fix Loose Fridge Door Panel)
Here we are fixing a front panel on a fridge door that is loose.
This front door fridge panel got loose and was damaging the cabinetry around it. Turns out it was installed incorrectly.
We are removing the door completely figuring out how it's fastened to the fridge and then reinstalling it so it's not loose anymore.

That’s a big ugly no. Especially for lots of books.
Good job for the side pieces what wood is that MDF too?
Yes for the trim pieces what you can do is buy pre-primed so white trim it comes in various different widths so in an ideal world you would be able to find something that's about what you need so you don't need to rip it down you just need to cut the length
@@HomeInstallers thanks I’m in UK so it’s not as easy I don’t think but will check it out. Thanks
Yea this guys a jackals. Every company he touches becomes fortune 500. He misses autistic gold and I wish I was on that spectrum.
Great reason
75 pounds = 75 lb.
That's the new title of the video
That’s not testing work ethic. You were being fake kind as hell to entrap him in accepting the kind gesture of a refreshing low percentage alcoholic beverage. I can tell it’s satire, but the joke is shit.
It was 7 percent
😂
Fire your driver
Haha it sounds bad but both incidents were 100% not at fault for our insurance. Just a funny run of bad luck
How did you fix the side trims to the wall? Did you screw through the cabinet? I have a similar size gap and wondering what way to go about it (glue, screw etc)
Normally I add blocking on to the side of the wardrobe and then nail it in. In this instance the gap was so small I just nailed it in from the inside of the cabinet.
@@HomeInstallers thanks. I have about a 4 inch gap so no room to manoeuvre a hammer. Think I’ll glue one end to the wall and screw from the inside of the cabinet
Why not cut a slot in the skirting?
That's great point. This type of install is meant to maintain the integrity of the existing home. It's good for renters. In this particular instance it's my place we just got the trim done and it would pain me to cut it out! I wanted to work around it that way in the future if somebody removes the wardrobe to rearrange the room they will be pleasantly surprised to see they don't need to fix anything behind it
Could have coped it better. By taking the butt end of the bace board marking the trim board and then cope it.
Absolutely. Coping was never my best skill. This was just a cut out around the trim. Super simple example for any skill level to do.
I love this. But as a contractor there’s nothing better than a lunch time beer with the boss
You're fired!

Where’s do you get the template?
I should have pointed that out! They sell them at IKEA
Great video, thank you! What did you use for the side panel?
Thank you! In this instance I used a piece of white maleme from home Depot. However what you can do for a more finished look is order a cover panel from the Ikea kitchen department. You would need to cut it but the finish is high quality. Google Ikea Cover panel, matt white.
Amazing, thank you so much! I have my Pax coming this weekend and am trying to get all the tips I can before installing. Your videos have been super helpful!
Feel free to reach out with any questions. Best tip is to keep it as simple as possible. @@christymegalo9409
I was really hoping you’d be able to tell me the brand and color of these floors??
You caught me at the exact right time I'm just working on my project right now I just made a quick video explaining our floor type we also have a combination of parquet so check that out
@@HomeInstallers Thank you!🙏🏼🙏🏼
More expensive thany whole family's net worth 😂
Use the ones of metal.. not the plastic one
Good point we stopped ordering those a long time ago but they do hold more weight don't they?
Lame
how did u measured the trims? this is the most crucial step...for me its harder than it looks
For sure a tricky step. If possible I build the unit with gaps that are the same as a standard trim width. So for example if I build the unit off of a wall I could keep it out 1.5 inches off the wall and then you can buy trim that is pre-primed white that is 1.5 inches thick. Then you only need to cut the length.
Looks like it will dent the fridge door.
You are correct I warned him about that but he said it was cool because he lives alone on the 50th floor of this sweet condo. That thing would last about 2 mins in my house the way my kids are !
Depends what you're going into, if it's drywall the hanger itself might be fine but the nail will start carving a path downward over time, and eventually go past 90° and slip out.
That checks out. It was rated for 30 pounds and could hold 50 lbs temporarily without snapping. We special ordered these ones from a supplier and they held up so much better than the standard hardware store ones we used to use. Those ones bent at 20 pounds even though they looked the same
@@HomeInstallers weird, I wonder what the special-order ones did differently.
Pretty sure it's just a higher quality gauge of metal. We found a small supplier to buy all sorts of hooks and art hanging hardware from
I totally understand
The sorry truth we are just drivers door openers and day care 😮😂😂😂😂😂
Ahahahahahahaha 🤣🤣❤️
😂😂😂
That a ridgeback
Vizsla...which is like a ridgeback on steroids
Mine, too, and he sits in the backseat like he just rented an Uber to the airport
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
My Irish setter!!!! He'll jump over 12 feet? Pop over a 4 foot fence, then be...... I can't get in the van!!!
Well mine isn’t a visla but he does the same ❤
Going on "the mud fixes everything" rule? 😅
Wearing yoga paints for views rule!
What paint have you used? How did you color match?
I used a bright white matte paint and it matched the white doors quite perfectly
What is the trim you used on top of the wardrobe?
I used a piece of pine window casing trim. It happened to be the exact size needed to fill the gap.
Best hack ever!
Oh man have I learned my lesson for using tape with leds... It just never works out long term.
Always remember to use warm white for your ambient lighting
Put down painters tape and mark the stud. Then removed and don’t leave unnecessary marks on the wall
Very true one of the wall mounters I work with gets so upset with me. He uses post it notes
Tom is the real one here, just making way and continuing his day.
How did you secure the trim to fill the gaps between wardrobe and wall?
Normally I would add blocking but in the particular instance the gap was so narrow about 1 and a quarter inch I just put the side trim in the gap and fastened it in with Brad nails from the inside of the cabinet out. That was more than enough to secure these ones. I'm doing a job now where I'll be adding 2x4 blocking on the side of the cabinet and then putting in 1.5 inch wide trim secured through the front into the blocking which would be the preferred way
take the top off let the sun come in
What tool are you using to bend the hinge, is it just pliers? Cheers
I used a pair of vice grips there. Or you could use an adjustable wrench. If you look up how to bend hinge knuckles you should find several longer format videos on how to do it. Best of luck!
John Revolta
He is an American treasure!
My dog when he hears the treat bag open:
Excellent song! In case anyone wants to know, its the theme song from "The Courtship of Eddy's Father". Sitcom from late '60s. Starred Bill Bixby. Great show.
How stable is this if not screwed to the wall?
Rock solid. It's a quick video but I put up MDF strapped in the wall directly into the studs and screwed the cabinets into that. Good call though... Crucial step and often overlooked
looks like a fireplace. Looked better before tbh
I can deal with being half a smart as him but I’d kill to be half as handsome 😮
I feel like a drill is an essential tool for all homeowners or just everyone in general.
Same.. 😅
Your bench is weaker then your acting skills
Maybe my bad acting skills but his reaction was legit!
