Geez, what the heck is this person vacuuming up?? My issue is when I pull the trigger the power will just shut off and then after I pull the trigger a few times it turns back on. No clogs, I've checked all the parts and can see through everything. I've cleaned the filter, made sure the vent wasn't clogged. The clogged filter light isn't on with mine. Ugh I think I'll return it. I've only had it 4 months.

Thank you so much! I was able to figure out where the clog was-after a frustrating day of thinking I had cleared out all the clogs. It was in the power head neck crook

To add, if the clog is internal to the vac ( still start-stops with no attachment ), and you've emptied it and cleaned the filter, check the internal exhaust port. Open the front chassis the same as when you're emptying it, and flip the vac over to look underneath the vac. You'll see a small opening where the dust is vented through to the dust chassis-receptacle. It's not obvious until you look for it.

When you buy a Dyson vacuum, you should also buy an air compressor.

Excellent expanation of the mechanistic workings. It;s very confusing to look into the device and see that the "on" position has the belt off! Thanks for explaining that it is off of the hook but will be on the turning device. I was going crazy and I remember my Mother doing the same with hers
