Namisu Nova Pocket - unboxing and short test
Namisu Nova Pocket, a nice pocket pen, made of titanium, with a very smooth nib. Decided to back this project on Kickstarter and choose this "petrol" finish, which gives the pen a unique look.

Another Pilot and one I always wanted to try. In this case, the nib is one of the thinnest I ever tried, maybe only comparable to the Platinum Century with UEF nib. The pen itself is very nice to use and crazy smooth, but I found sometimes the nib to be dried quite quickly. A very nice pen! I also like the Namisu N2. Both are with a converter to a ballpoint.

Incredible! How do you get that line variation? Do you have the pen on an angle away or towards your thumb? Do you rotate the pen a certain way?
Hey! The pen has a nib like an architect, so depending on the angle I write, it changes the line, yes :)
I wonder why is the text in the manual Italian and not English? Did you order it from Italy? Or are the manuals printed in Italian regardless of were you buy the pen?
Hey! I ordered it from an Italian shop yes. But it also might be that they are all in Italian, not sure about this :)

This is one of the thinnest nibs I have in my collection, it plays against Platinum Century UEF :)

Basically, a useful pen that don't run out of ink after writing one page 🤣 Beautiful pen but I think they are overcharging for this.

This is definitely an extra extra fine nib, unfortunately is only available in the Custom 742, Custom 743 and Custom Heritage 912 as far as I know :)
Excellent! How do you like the pen a month later? It looks so ergonomic… I’m very tempted.
A great point is that even if the pen is made in aluminum, it’s still kinda light (at least for my hand, it’s around 48grams to give you an idea) and well balanced so it’s not tiring. I would not cap it, as that add some weight on the back and for me it’s a bit uncomfortable. The only “issue” I found with the pen is that the thread is really short (half a turn) and at start I was closing it without applying any force cause there is not really any extra movement allowed, so it was opening quite easily also inside a pocket. Now I’m applying a bit of force when I close it and it’s secure. But the writing experience is sooo nice with this nib! I would definitely love to try the 18k gold nib version.

Nice to see another leftie who turns the page round to write, I think we are a breed on the way out. I really like the nib on mine, a fine like yours, and it too was great out of the box on the 1st fill, though I did give it a couple of rinses first. Good luck with your channel.

Antonio Lucio Vivaldi was a composer and a violinist. He composed, among others works, the four seasons. The ink takes the name after him.

I bought the medium and just leave the nib set on soft. Very smooth,better than my 742 with an FA nib. The Barley finish is much nicer than the striped in my opinion.
I would be super curious to try the FA nib, I still didn’t have the chance!
@@badcalligraphy They aren’t easy to get. My retailer had 2 in 742s. That was the deal so I grabbed one and didn’t regret it.

This is a new “old” Omas, meaning from the Louis Vuitton times, so around 2000.
Non sono un fan delle penne in metallo ma questa mi ha sempre intrigato, specie quella verde e la blu come la tua. Mi sa che ci farö un pensiero...
È una gran bella penna, secondo me si tiene davvero bene, non è troppo pesante e non affatica la mano. La versione verde è meravigliosa, sto valutando la Studio di quel colore :)
