You are absolutely right. There is no "God" or idols within the Mosque. Islam is a Monotheistic religion and totally rejects the idea of having an image of the Creator. It does not make it "Godless" because Allah is the Creator of all things, and He has created the humans, the angels, the universe. So Allah does not need an idol to convey messages to him. If you are interested, you should visit a mosque in your neighborhood, and speak with an Imam there. Pick up a copy of the Quran in your language of choice. It will explain so much more than I can here. Best of luck.
