The Bees - B. System 55 and System 100
Просмотров 31328 дней назад
A little jam with the Beheringer Systema 55 and System 100. The S55 produces the bass notes and provides utilities for the whole patch. The S100 produces the two medelodic layers ont top. I used Erica Synths Dual FX and Pico DSP for effects. Kick is Befaco Kickall. I love how electric the S100 sounds. I haven't given it the love it deserves, and people really seem to like it. I hope you enjoy.

VOYAGER 2 - JPBlasco

The Moog Voyager is a truly special instrument when accompanies by other players (or eurorack voices). It can produce sweet mellow tones or distoted leads that rise above the other instruments. I love the "Moog Sound" from de 2000's. I hope you enjoy. The voices in this piece are (in order of appearance): 1. Chords: Qu-bit Chord Moog Mavis Strymon Skylab 2. Bass: Behringer Model D 3. Drum Set: B...
The Mini Voyager System - JPBlasco

This is The Mini Voyager System test drive. One Voyager, one drum sequencer, one sample, and one Reverb. The Voyager is my favorite synth. I let it go before I stated making videos, but now he's back to stay. I love its sound, large well and calibrated knobs, continuously variable waveshape oscillators, the modulation busses. But the thing I like the most is its warm thick filter resonance at l...
Happy Days - Moog Mavis & Behringer System 55

Today is a happy day. I suspect you fell it too. This is just a liitle jam with 2x Moog Mavis at 12AM.
FROM ABOVE - Moog Mavis & System 55
Просмотров 4329 месяцев назад
I really like how this piece turned out. I am playing a couple of moog mavis with the niftykeyz keyboard, and the system 55 as a bass reinforcement for on of them. Basic drums are created with euclidean circles, erica synths drums (a hidden jem), and noise a LPG for the hi hats. Some delay and phaser are applied to the melodic mavis voice.
THE SHIRE - behringer System 55
Просмотров 2719 месяцев назад
This song reminds me of the shire, form LOTR. I had been debating whether to get the System 55 for years, since before it came out. It always seemed to have too many modules for what seemed a too be just a few functionlities (for its size) However, having modules for each indivudual part of a synth voice gave me a higher degree of control that I really appreciate. After playing for a couple of ...

Great!! 👍 I love it!! 💓 You deserve my subscription. Nice to find you, dear musical friend! Best LABIS
i love your music, do you have bandcamp or spotify or etc?
Thank you for you kind words, they motivate me :). I only use RUclips to publish (for now at least)
Sounds Awesome 👌
@@tomjw1306 thany you :D
Cool, I like the buildup and the simplicity and transparency of the sounds in the beginning. Setting the fundament for the more dirtiier sounds round 6/7 minutes. Sidechaining the mix with the bass drum?
@philaesfarewell thanks! I wasn't sure if I wanted to publish this :s . Yeah there is side chaining with the kick. I use a VCA and a negative EG for that (i like that better than using a compressor). Thanks for watching !
@@JPblascnice trick! Thanks for the explanation!
This is great, love the buildup into distorted tones. Since when have you bien playing synths?
Excellent.
@DonovanStringer thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it, cheers !
I started my journey into modular systems with the 100 series-my very first "hit," so to speak. 😊 The plicky, plucky sounds this system can produce are truly wonderful. But it’s also fantastic for leads and legato tones. I really should make another track exclusively with the 100 series sometime! Nice dynamic in your tune, btw!
That' nice to hear! I personally never use the system 100. For some reason, a video I made with it 2 years ago has the most views ever in my channel (by a factor of 20x). People seem to really like it.
@@JPblasc Just looked in your video list and it seems I saw your video, too and gave it a thumbs up :-) Must have been the time when I started to buy the first modules.
@philaesfarewell ha! Thanks for that thumbs up some years ago!
Really love it!
@@ichibanrob that is awesome to hear, thanks !!
Perfect! The sound is awesome! Love it! 😍
@sergio.m7124 thanks a lot! I'm glad you enjoyed it !
@@JPblascThanks to you! Awesome sound!
well done!
@dwp2659 thank you !!!
Really nice!!
@@kneonic thank you !!!
Very nice. That system looks really compact and sounds great.
@@Jiuhuashan thanks a lot, I'm glad you liked it ! Yeah, it is a relatively compact system (the system 55 modules take 75% of the space)
I just bought basically every module in this video after watching this, and subscribed to your channel. I haven't been able to find a behringer 140, any recommendations for an alternative? Thanks for making this, you did a great job putting this together!
@@WesHicks thanks ! I'm glad I could help you. There is a double EG module from Erica Synths that can nicely replace de 140. Both EGs can function as lfos.
That was sweet! I'm impressed by how much you got out of a small rack of modules.
@@Siddersquid thanks! Yeah, its 2 synth voices, a kick, a sequencer, and effects in a small package!
Sounds majestic. Great jam, awesome set up.
@@nolake Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!
What a great place to be! Loved how it developed and loved the atmosphere.
Thanks! It is a great place to be, full of my favorite instruments :) , thanks for watching !!
so nice! especially like the ending portion of it - so delicate

@@pablohrock cheers! Thanks for watching!
Great vibes in this piece! Like the effort with some camera angles :) I really like your setup now. How is the Model D vs the Voyager? Wich one do you prefer?
@@positivebacteriaculture Thanks! My setup is forever changing and I am very happy with it. The model D and voyager have very different characters. Model d sounds very organic and raw, while the voyager is a bit more "digital". I like the model d more, it has very big analogue knobs, the voyager are digitally controlled I think. Also the model D can get really loud and crunchy.
@@JPblasc Cool! Thanks for detailed information. I'm very static with my setup, i'm really slow with menu diving and sometimes my equippment stay silent for a week. So everytime I sit down I figure out something new. But I love new stuff.. like its really nice, and it lures out new stuff everytime you try it.
@@positivebacteriaculture I don't like menu diving, and purposely buy instruments worhout screens to avoid it ! That's something I like about the Matriarch and Model D
@@JPblasc i might have..gotten myself something new 🙃
@@positivebacteriaculture oh really? What is it? I couldn't guess...
Hell yeah! Wonderful balance of sequenced and played syntths (and drums). Love this piece, your new setup/camera angle, and Minimoog! So cool. Is it a new one or vintage? Such a great classic monosynth and just perfect for performance-oriented knob turning as going on here at the end to great effect.
@@MatthewLowes thanks Matthew! It is a new model d and I am completely in love with it, it is a beautiful instrument. I was not sure about this piece, I was going to take it down, but not anymore. Thanks for watching!
@@JPblasc Super cool. I think I'd much rather have a new model d than a vintage one. Enjoy!

I was just relistening to this, I love that distortion and the wonderful harmonics it brings out.
I love it to. It sounds like an electric guitar and the harmonics play melodies of their own.

I love this! Reminds me a bit of blade runner. Btw, I released an album on Spotify recently, I know you liked my last one so I was just telling you.
@@logimite7174 thanks! I will definetely check out your album!
Could you help me understand how you connected the matriarch to the starlab and where the output of the starlab is routed to? I’m trying to figure out mine and euro rack with no experience!
Sure. The Matriarch has teo eurorack level audio out jacks at the back (L and R channels), these are patched to the L and R inputs of the starlab. The starlab's L and R audio outputs are connected to and Erica Synths Output module (just below the starlab), which acts as a mixer with other audio signals and. The outuput module has two 1/4" audio outputs, which are connected to a tascam recorder. I hope this helps!
great build, cool vibe. ( I got the Behringer system 15 about 6 months ago, love it )
I just saw this! I hope you have enjoyed your system 15!! Thanks for watching!
@@JPblasc Hi, yes loving it :)
Very nice patch, what Eirca Synth module is that on the far left?
Thank you! It is an SEQ module.
The 100 series is by far the best investment I’ve ever made, have a Strega but nothing else in that series, I have a chaos, sounds as good as the $500 morpheagene, have the Ensemble and Zoia, between the two handles polyphony just fine. It’s a great way to test something new without buying the series. The Strega is an excellent noise oscillator with the 100 next, the 115! Best deal for the money!and they both sound fantastic!
The 100 series is the way to go, get every module, then test with other manufacturers, I almost always end up purchasing another Beringer module!
I'm really glad I found this 100 series, I'm only a hobbyist so the price matters. Question, do you know what module that is on the far right?
@@Heavycap Erica Synths Pico mixer. I believe it's on par with the Moog CP3 mixer so past the 3 oclock position you get a bit more grit.

Sounds great! I've been really appreciating that ability to rise above the mix -- Voyager sounds impressive, I like that kick drum, and, as always, I love the way you structure, progress, and end a track. Cheers. :)
Thank you Matthew. I've been trying to keep songs under 7 minutes. I find that length allows me to elaborate without getting repetitive. They feel like 3 minutes when I play them though😂. The kick is an analog Befaco module i've had for a long time, but had never used in a track. I used to think it did not have enough punch, but I amplified it with a VCA and problem solved
Nice work, thanks for sharing 👍
