Crochet Chainless Foundation Single Crochet (FSC) with Double Loop/Two Strands per Stitch.
In this video I demonstrate one way to make a chainless foundation round, for SC (FSC).
The same technique can be used to make a chainless foundation row - simply omit the joining to the base and top of the first chainless foundation stitch.
This technique results in a double loop or two strands per stitch at the base of the chainless foundation round. For another option that results in a single loop/one strand per stitch at the base of the chainless foundation round, refer to ruclips.net/video/zuuoQy-Xl1U/видео.html.
Although I have used Chainless Foundation rounds in a number of my beanie patterns, please note that this can be substituted with 1) a round of chains and then 2) a round of st...

2DCTogCl stitch
Просмотров 2845 лет назад
I use this stitch in multiple patterns of mine, including the Itty Bitty and Titchy Vintage Vibes Beanie designs. If you would like to see more examples of this stitch, please let me know. It's the same principle as a DC2Tog/ 2DCTog except that the stitches are worked in the same stitch, instead of over two consecutive stitches.

that is a pretty design I like the color ty
Good evening 😊. Do you have videos of the beanies 😊?
Está hermoso el gorro podría enviar el tutorial para poder hacerlo
Where can I find the 5th and more rounds to finish this blanket you started
I’m sorry, you’re going to fast and I can’t see where to put the stitch. That’s okay. I’ll just find a beginner on this. Thank you.
Really now, L have been crocheting for years ,and I can't understand how any one could follow this pattern, there's just not enough of the pattern to go by,to bad it looks like something I would have liked to make !
This is the so confusing ,not worth my time ,you dont explain anything right .
Wow! Looks gorgeous would love a tutorial on the blanket and hat for stitchers who have a difficult time reading patterns .
Maybe include video link with purchased patterns
Great pattern, thank you its gorgeous 🎉💞
I wish you had full videos of vintage vibes baby beanie.
This is the most confusing tutorial I have done. I can’t see what you are doings at the angle you are holding your work .And I don’t understand how row 8 follows row 7 which is actually it’s row 5 I’m so disappointed and confused I have decided to ditch this it’s not worth the effort.
You said it’s suppose to be 12 flower petals, but when I go to do my round skipping every other stitch with the v sc, I come out with 10 petals because 20/2 is 10…
You might be good in crocheting , but you are triple explaining it
It will be good,if u show full vedeos
Such an incredibly beautiful blanket!
How would you turn this into a rectangular blanket? I completed up to row 43 but am unsure of how to fill in between the pedals. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
How do you get the corners to point instead of be petals?? It doesn't say in the pattern.
We would like to see this from the beginning please
As beautiful as this blanket looks I can't follow what your doing at all and since I can't see what your doing is absolutely frustrating I won't be recommending this to anyone unless they are experts at this I'm not a beginner and have progressed and this is supposed to be good for beginners and it's hard for me. Fix the video so that it's not so small and ill give it a try again but I can't follow it as it is
Very Nice and makes perfect sense, thank you.
WOW Very Interesting thank you. You have such long Beautiful hands and nails, and love hearing fellow Aussies do tutorials, Thank you.
Do you have written instructions or a diagram
Do u have a pattern?
Yes, Expanding Flower Blanket on Ravelry - available for free at the moment 🙂
Wow
Too small to see sadly
Picture is too small to see the stitches. I can only watch on my phone. Sadly can't see this to follow.
Hi i really like this blanket, now I'm on round 7 last video you made. I'm starting rounds 5 in row 8 and the stitches don't match up!' Am having a hard time finishing it! Can you help me? I just need to know how to keep going on the 3 row repeat after row 7
I sooooo wish I could see what you're talking about! I've tried and tried to make your blankets, but they just don't turn out.
Will this work with an 8 or 9 petal blanket?
Yes, it should do. Just change up the first and subsequent round count. I've made an 8 and a 10 petal for the top of a beanie - for a bit of fun - and these worked over a small number of rounds. I would assume they'd work up just fine bigger too.
It's a beautiful pattern, but the video was to small n it would've been nice if u could've slow down n shown more of ur work.
Hi. Did you end up making a video for after row 2? I can never make sense of written patterns. 🙏
Wow I see what gal mentioned to n other post. The center of this is different in round 567 then in pic and in the link below. So I will do the skip st, hdc, dc, hdc skip hdc at post and so on and see what happens 🙂 thank you
How did that work for you? I’m lost too.
Hi, thanks for sharing! So I am self taught... So now from this point do I just do plain DC or do I repeat 567? If so I'm lost!
I have the same question..
The writer pattern doesn’t match what you’re saying :( it was a bit confusing.
Love the pattern I would of loved to seen your vintage vibes blanket in a video
Thank you for this tutorial!
What a waste of time, no more videos for the following rounds
Could you please show me how to do rounds 8 and up. My stitches are not adding up. I have too many stitches before the HDC over post.
I agree, it was difficult to see where the next stitch is supposed to be. There was a comment on the last video regarding the difficulty to see and understand the video. I hope she takes the advice and remakes the videos! :)
I feel the same way. ☹️
Love this afghan. It's a little hard to see as you work, the video is small . Thank you for sharing with us ❤
Hi Sonya, I hope to have time to make another, clearer video in the future. If you get stuck, contact me via my The Crochet Fix FB page. I've found in the past putting stitches on photo of a couple of rounds of people's work has helped them to understand the repeats and then they have been able to make their blanket successfully from this point.
@@thecrochetfix9735 thank you. I sure will
Sorry but you did stitches after the second tumbling block on row 4 but didn't say what you did. Your instructions aren't clear, and we can't see your work clearly. You are going too fast for a pattern so complex. I would have loved to make this but unfortunately you make it impossible. -1
Have you made the follow on video from this for the next rows?
AND WHERE IS THE WRITTEN PATTERN
Hi Mickie, the written pattern is available via Ravelry www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/kaleidoscope-flower-blanket
Hi where is the 5th round?
Hi, I've only so far recorded the rounds that makers were finding difficult (getting started) from the written pattern. I'll definitely consider including more rounds in the future.
Oh ok, I actually did get the hang of the pattern and almost done with the blanket. Thank you so much for the tutorial 😊
Where is round 3 and beyond, I only see the tutorial for the first two rounds
Hi Dawn, I only included the rounds that makers originally suggested they wanted to see worked from the written pattern. I will definitely consider including additional rounds in the future.
The Crochet Fix yes that would be real helpful !
Is there a follow up video?
Hi Leah, I had made only the first couple of rounds as these were the rounds that a number of people wanted to see (from the written pattern). After this they found the pattern easy enough to follow. I can definitely add more rounds in the future, as time permits, if there is interest.
Would self striping yarn, like caron cake or mandala look good for this?
Yes, I've seen lots of great examples. There are some examples in Ravelry.
I’m having a hard time with round 5... I’m doing the same color and slst into the next st but the video is not saying anything about the instructions that say “slst to next stitch and then 2 ch.3 dc innxtst (which is the center petal stitch)” I’m confused about the initial hdc and where to start. Please help! Thanks! Also... when you add the next color I see you do a hdc but then you chain one. This is at 1:43... I’m very confused please help
Meredith, if you could please send me a picture of a Round 4 petal up close I can write the stitches you need to make for Round 5 and send it back to you. Can you please message this to my FB page (TheCrochetFix) or otherwise email me. Thanks.
That's a standing HDC so I just use the chain to neaten it off. You can use Ch 2 instead of standing HDC when commencing a new colour.
Thank you hypnotic and fun
