I always think that KOF14 is basically 3D version KOF13, why do I say this? Well, some characters have animations either similar to 13 or earlier entries. Take an example of Billy’s idle in 14, it looks hand animated to match the Sprite movement, meanwhile that same idle in 15 looks like it’s motion captured.

@SpeedKing125 Yes, that one in 3D is great but when you look for SS they hardly even name it, the special effects for me are the best with the brush type drawing, I thought that later they would do it like Tekken, which at that time was the leader in 3d. Another one that you can't find just like that is one for PS1 SS Warriors Rage where Hanson appears and I think a young Haomaru, I played that one as a teenager and it was also very good since other characters appeared
@SpeedKing125 time was unfortunate for it. It was released in the west during the Dark Age of 3d games
No it wasn't DOA4 SC4 Tekken 6 were out at the time. People just hate samsho it's always sold horribly and it's because most people don't like to play a patient game. They like to button mash and get rewarded for not outsmarting there opponents.
I personally think it's a rough game, but has the samsho feel trying to be mortal kombat too early. It was just different! but people wanted familiar in that era
