These may not seem cost efficient up front but I think PUL/TPU and bamboo flats or bamboo inserts with some hemp inserts are going to be better in the long run. Wool, while quite pricey, you can use over and over until they smell or get poop on them. Almost like PUL/TPU covers but they require more delicate care. I have all sorts but I found GMD fitted and PUL/TPU to be pretty easy once you get the hang of it. Paying for bamboo and hemp up front will keep you from purchasing them later when baby is already here, starts out growing the absorbency and finances are stretched a little tight for a while. I plan on using wool for the first day because wool is warm, breathable and temperature regulating all at the same time but who knows. I may change my mind.
