Just an idea for a tutorial you could do that no one else has and is still missing on youtube: A matchup tutorial even if its just tipps and tricks. what i mean is how to approach each matchup as egypt against egypt, norse, greece, atlantians, each matchup as norse against ... of course a godmove would be how to approach each matchup as ra against [loki, thor etc.. ] but that would end in 156 videos wich would be way to much^^. but my initial thought stands and that would be something no one has. just as a thought :) Great video!

How can i enable to show range of effect and arrows of buildings?

The last tech is total nonsense, it needs to be nuked to the ground. Paired with the big number of berserkers you can convert your villagers into (which in the lategame it's nearly free) it's very unhealty. That thing and the mummies are the most broken things in the game.

Even though a lot of this information isn't too applicable to me (for example, at lower ELOs, Freyr actually has among the highest winrates, since people play more passive); I still really enjoy hearing thoughts on the meta at the top levels of the game :)

About the Orichalcum Mail it gives 20% pierce armor to arcus but 20% hack armor for turma.

Do you find Silent Resolve that good? I think it's pretty mediocre. Berserks need to stand still for 20 seconds just to get +5% attack, and they lose almost all of that after moving for just 4 seconds. 😓 Great video though; learned a lot! Thank you!

Huntress axe is better than ballistics after the latter got nerved. Ballistics now only gives units +3 tracking while huntress axe sets it to 99, plus it also gives additional range. It's just a pitty that it's not available the armory for Thor.

In the og game Swine Array used to give the bonus anti cavarly damage to Berserks but due to the addition of Hirdman now they get the bonus. Personally I love Hirdmen a lot however their base stats are sooo low (especially the pierce armor, only 5%) meaning they get destroyed by almost everything (maybe reduce their base multiplier vs cav so you can increase their base attack and pierce). When you see other anti cav infantry they have better stats and can perform well vs other units wich is not the case here (IK its bit intentional by devs cuz they want Norse to have infantry for every specific scenario).

Mostly agree, phobos spear is better than the spearmen venom. I mean: is 1 instant divine vs 0.75 over 6 secs. Not sure why spearmen venom is rated higher. Anyways not a big deal.

Chariot archers are not balanced. High dmg+ high speed+high range + fast train....great for def, great for attack, great for scout, great for raid, great for hit and run, great for almost everything... and there is nothing that can counter them as they can just outrun everything...I would nerf their speed (or make it accelerating eg the standard speed at 4 but for every 3 seconds out of combat they get 0.5 speed etc with 5 being the max). and maybe the range.

I find it sad, that Freyr has such strong and cool late game upgrades but you don't get to them most games. Most likely I am just not good at defending. Nice video though!

Do you think it's a good idea to go through anubis as isis against poseidon to have acces to strong spearman? Or is bast always better

Call of valhalla doesnt do extra damage, its only 10 percent more hp and 1 favor upon death. Should be stronger. Also berserkergang is only lifesteal, it does not make berserk stats any better.

What about Valley of the Kings? I like it a lot. I would like to hear what's your opinion about it. :)

Odin feels like “budget Thor” in his current state. Which is kinda funny since Thor was seen as a worse Odin in legacy (both voobly and steam). Think Odin should get a new bonus or something idk.

The biggest imbalance is Norse vs. Egypt. It's impossible to play as Norse against Egypt.

Sad not to see my buddy Set next to his fellow Egyptians. Can't wait for the next balance patch

how are you saying hirdman are "as strong" in that situation when hirdman have multiplier vs cavarly and berserks dont? Am i missing soemthing?

@TheRapl Why go 3 food so early? You can go 2 food until at least 4 on wood without force dropping. 5-6 on wood by force dropping a bit. Seems like we're just trading wood that could build fishing ships faster, replenishing the food that we float by going 3 food so early. Also allows you to build 2 docks with that vil then go back home, instead of building a storehouse. gg wp in any case!

Imo you could end this whole debate if certain myth units were a bit more spicey. I mean avengers are okay but they cannot really compete with armies of champion units. Egypt myth units beside mummy feel like an early/midgame thing but they really pale off lategame. Upgrades like Crimson linen could be a bit stronger and maybe a slight buff to phoenix dmg vs units? Mummies are cool though. Mythical age myth units should be actually bonkers.

I prefer this water BO especially with Odin with hunt bonus At game start, queue a dwarf 1 starting vil makes ox cart, one to wood, one lures boar. A simple trick for perfect boar lure everytime is to right click the boar with vil. Once the vil is <1.5seconds from shooting, right click the boar with TC. Once the vil shoots, click your vil right beside your TC, then shift click to attack the boar. Will kill right beside the TC everytime as long as the boar walking distance wasn't too great. Lmk if you want to see it live. This gets the perfect kill placement, avoids the vils idling for a split second to shoot, and ensures your vil stays full HP. With eggy pharaoh empowering TC, wait a bit longer to shoot with the TC. ox cart vil goes to food, so you have 2 food, 1 wood first dwarf to gold vils to food until 4 1 dwarf to gold 2 to food 1 dwarf to gold 1 wood gatherers to food until you have temple down and 60 gold, then start dwarves to gold until age up Assuming you want FH then, you are setup to have a really fast time by leaving hunters on boars under TC. If you want to fight classical, move most/all food to wood.
