This is my 180 gallon acrylic. Just fed them so it was a little "dusty" in there. These are babies from my Blue Dragonblood I got from Imperial Tropicals, a couple of other peacocks, a couple clown loaches and and four silver dollars. Very blue. May get a few maize colored ones and call it the Wolverine tank. Go Blue! Congrats on another B10 Championship.

We have a flying squirrel living in our trees. Caught him stealing birdseed when the porch light got turned on. Crappy video but worth sharing this rare footage of a nocturnal animal.

Built this system for my tool locker at work. The speaker/sub boxes are built by me. I tried to make exact copies of the VS-100 boxes but added more bracing. The reason I have those cheap amps is they are what i found that I could fit in my locker and give me the power i need. They do a really good job though and sound pretty good. They will clip if i push them too hard, but they go pretty loud...

Boesemani and Millennium Rainbowfish showing off
Good catch
Have you had it out yet? It’s coming along nice. I remember when you got that boat. We chatted on PS audio. Since then I picked up a similar boat. Still cant figure out what I got.
Yup,got the SL-12s as the 15s were not in stock but I botem so my SL- 15 coming 1st day of Dec. Gonna drive them w a Pioneer SX950 or Kenwood KR6030. The longest strings of piano will sound great with these Spkrs. A big Thanks to Cerwin n Vega!
Really love mine, good sound for a decent price.
They are pretty efficient so most amps will drive them, either of those will do great I think. I like the Crown because of the massive power and headroom. I can shake the block with these things if I wanted to, but really it's about having a nice wide sweet spot on the volume.
How did it sound?
They sound good. Very efficient with those horns, so they get loud quick. Pretty bright, so I turn the treble down a bit.
Update, for anyone who cares. I have been hitting it heavy this winter and she is just about ready. I ordered the primer, bottom and top paint today. Wife was worried about the old motor so basically gave me permission to buy a new motor, so I bought a brand new 2023 Suzuki 40 hp 4 stroke. Why mess around? I will probably post some videos of the progress from now until splash day. Hopefully by summer. For anyone with an idea to do this, it is very costly, time consuming and difficult. So be prepared.
do the rainbow fish eat/bite plants?
No. Not an issue at all in my tanks It may be dependant on plant species but I have never heard of it being a problem. They thrive in planted tanks. From what I can tell and from my research they are mostly carnivorous. They breed quite often but eat the eggs unless you make provisions. Silver dollars, on the other hand, will chow plants right down to the roots.
@@ericnortan9012 thanks
I want to buy those speakers? R u satisfy from them?
Satisfied? Sure, for the money they are great and were exacty what I was expecting. They are fun speakers but it depends on your purpose. They are very powerful, get very loud, have a ton of bass, decent mids and highs. Great for fronts on a large home theater, great for cranking it up, very nice at lower levels and surprisingly revealing. Huge sounstage, the produce a very convincing "phantom center". A bit bass heavy at times. Definitely a great party speaker, they can shake the block. I would recommend them if you have a large space to give them a proper set up and are looking for that huge sound. Not audiophile, but with the right equipment they are pretty impressive for the money. I don't know of any speakers in the price point that even come close on many levels, and if you like to play loud they play great with a proper amp. If you have a smaller space you may want to consider the 12s, the 15s can overwhelm a small space pretty quickly. Their are definitely better sounding large speakers out there but they are way more expensive and almost none at this price have as good of power handling ability. Hope that helped.😁
@@ericnortan9012 thanks 4 the answer. I want to use them with amp 100 watt per chanel. What u think they useful enough?
@@so-oq5lm It will do OK. They are 94db sensitivity, so it doesn't take much to get some volume. To get the best performance I would recommend a bigger amp. If your amp is rated 100w into 8ohms it'll do the job though, especially in a normal home environment. They are big so they benefit from a high current amp.
@@ericnortan9012 thanks a lot
What year they made?
IDK exact year, but they aren't "real" Simi Valley Cerwin Vegas. If that's what your getting at. Mid- late 2000's, Gibson owned, "American design", Chinese built. Though they play great, real decent boxes. They are definitely comparable in sound to the old schools. Build quality is yet to be determined, but also comparable, had them for a couple years and holding up great. I got them because they were new and I wanted some powerful speakers for when I wanted to rock out without breaking the bank. Wife would only let me get new ones. I like 3-way boxes, grew up in 70s and 80s, found these and bought them. I looked at a couple others, XLS and Klipsch, polk all the big brands. The Klipsch were a bit bright. Didn't like the XLS look in the living room. Though the XLS has supposedly better woofers (cast) the boxes don't seem great, too much plastic. Chose the SLs, very happy with them. Great speakers for the price if your looking for a powerful speaker that can get real low. I wouldn't say audiophile, but pretty fun.
@@ericnortan9012 thanx
What is this mother f......
I was heading home from trout camp for the spring opener. Funny, these Michigan elk are super brave when they are raiding peoples gardens and fields, but get em in the woods and they are real spooky. I think they are used to gawkers in vehicles though, whenever they come out in the open cars are stopping to look.
Correction : 1958 MFG Cambridge
Just got me used SL-15s, testing them with Marantz sr4300 receiver which can only give 80w per channel, i know that its way to weak for them, but my god it plays nice and you can feel the pressure waves hitting your chest :)
80 wpc is plenty unless you really crank it. Having a big amp is a really nice bonus but they are sensitive enough that my reciever can drive them pretty good. I think they are excelent speakers, especially for the price. 🤘😁🤘
@@ericnortan9012 agree 100 %
@@ericnortan9012 how do they compare to the older cv's? Trying to decide if I want to buy a new set or old.
@@frankrizzo2724 They sound good and can handle alot of power, huge bass. As far as comparing them to older ones, it depends on the series. If I could get a set of mint AT-15s or REs, or a couple other series, I would trade in a heartbeat, but that's more just because they are all really good, cool ass speakers. SLs have steel woofers as opposed to cast, but they are quality and sound great. The crossover may be a little better than the older ones. I own a set of VS 100s and those things thump for 10" but the SLs sound way better. A thing with the older ones to watch out for is dry rotted surrounds, we are talking about some pretty old speakers. I bought the brand new ones because they go in my living room and have to look good also, or the wife wouldn't go for it. I would recommend them, but I'm not gonna say they are better or worse. From my experience they sound just as good or better than most older series, possibly not quite as much quality in the build. Again, that's debatable too. If that helps😄
@@ericnortan9012 thanks for the reply. Probably going to go with the new ones just because well, they are new. Thanks again.
What the shit Music!!?? You can't test speakers and amplifier with that shit... Play for test Dance, techno, hardstyle.. something like that.
I wasn't testing music. I built all that stuff for my tool locker in a factory. With screaming motors right outside the shop. I needed an amp small enough to fit in my locker, Bluetooth and enough ass to drive the CVs. It does until you get past 1/2 volume then it struggles on the peaks. But it gets loud enough to rock out the whole maintenance shop, sounds great for it's purpose. Great bass
Looks nice and professional - Cerwin-vega!
Thanks. I'm real happy with the way they turned out. My first time using formica. Unless you're really looking the small blemishes aren't noticable. The Sunbuck is ok for a shop stereo, it struggles with too much volume (i got it because it fit in the space) but I'm gonna take em' home and put them on my Crown XLi2500 and see how they really do. The fossi seams to drive that sub fine. I made it sealed (so I could make a smaller box) and it sounds great. Nice tight bass.
Говно полное, но человек старался
Sorry, I can't read your language. But i give you a thumbs up 👍 even if your a hater
The CV SL' s are great. I have the smallest floorstanders of the bunch, the SL 8. Really great little speakers, with great punchy bass and very good highs and mid's too. I was(and still am) really impressed at how great they sound, crisp and clear sound and great power given their size. Highly recommended speakers if you have a smaller listening room or don't require insane SPL levels. I've had them for 3 years now and have no plans of replacing them anytime soon.
Nice. I was thinking of getting them for my surround speakers. I have Sony sscs3 towers for that now but want to move them to my bedroom cause I like the way they sound, it seams like a waste using them for surrounds. I've always liked 3 ways. I think the SL 8s would match better with the SL 15s.
Nobody has ever sent my aquarium plants that lush in little pots. I'm sure having a channel and "I'll post what you send me"..got you the order usually 10 people are parsed out to...lol. Positive!
I've ordered from these guys before and the plants were nice both times and my channel is pretty lame so I don't know how much pull I have at their warehouse. 🤘😁🤘
@@ericnortan9012 "Nice"? That was more than nice!..I've ordered many plants from many vendors..never got anything like that. Jacobs? Twice and no more as he's sent me plants nearly dead!..worst Trident fern's you've ever seen. Others nearly as bad- tiny little Tiger Lotus..broken off in the container from the bulb. Bulb rotted..tiny plant is still tiny. I could go on..but never have gotten but the bare minimum from anybody.
@@StanTheObserver-lo8rx try Dustin, everything I've got from them was great. I know what you're saying about bad orders though, I went through the same thing, now I would only order from these guys because they haven't let me down yet. If you look at my aquarium videos, pretty much every plant came from them. I bought the last package because we moved and I changed stuff around. Happy with it so far.
if you'll happen to have better equipment please re-record this video. There are such few video reviews on these beauties. I'm choosing btwn SL12 and XLS12. Tough choice without listening
I have a couple more videos posted but they still don't do the speakers any justice. I have a different mic and will give it another shot. I really like these SL 15's, but I had the same problem as you, XLS or SL. In the end I got the SL because they had a better frequently response on paper (it's literally only a couple hertz difference on the low end) and they look better to me. The XLS are pretty sweet though. Why 12"? Why not 15"? 🤘😁🤘
@@ericnortan9012 Thanks for your response. I'm more inclined to the SLs too. The XLSs have a quite narrow twitter sound direction due to the cone construction plus every single herz is vital to me since i won't be using a sub.(gonna build 5.0) . Sadly my room is not so spacious for 15 and i'm afraid it will be overwhelmed with bass.
@@dimarzio9374 I use mine on my surround and they are great for movies, you really don't need a sub. Just make sure you have centers and rears with a high sensitivity to match up with the big fronts, whichever you choose.
@@ericnortan9012 Yep. i bet they can outbass most subs. The other speakers will be from the SL series too
@@dimarzio9374 I'm gonna get the SL45c, I have my center level at ten to match up now. Unless you have a real powerful receiver I would get a separate amp, especially if you listen to music.
Hello! Could you please tell me the diameter and length of the back tube of the box. Thank you.
I believe 4" × 12". There are 2 per speaker. I will measure and verify it when I get home, fishing right now.😁 🎣

Ya, phone mic doesn't register the bass. Not really high quality recording equipment. I've got a mic I'm gonna try out. It's supposed to be 20hz to 20khz, but t it's real small so my hopes are not high.
How do the silver dollars get on in here
Great, they are big, fast and the aulonocara are more worried about each other. We've had those silver dollars about ten years (two of them anyway). There are also clown loaches in there.
That's good to hear, I've been toying with the idea of adding some for awhile now. I currently have had a mono angel in with mine for the past 4 years which in a way is a similar sort of fish.
