Well, Pumpkin Cake and Pound Cake are a Pegasus and Unicorn respectively and their parents are Earth Ponies so it's canon in the MLP universe that the offspring never have to be the exact same species as their parents. Moonlight Twinkle also wouldn't make sense because she's a Pegasus when her mothers are unicorns in my next gen but it's nice to play around with those differences when you can. And if you want to make your next gen have every pony be the exact same species as their parents, go ahead! It's your story. I personally wanted Amethyst and Moonlight to be different from their parents to continue the dynamic from the Cake family and will continue to do that when I see fit.

I'm not sure who you mean by Glitter Violet. Are they a cannon character or a fanmade one?

@@gracegoff5209 I'm not aware of any canon or fanmade characters by that name so I'm not sure. In this specific video I have Violet Voice (DJ Pon-3 X Octavia) and Glittering Diamonds (Fancy Pants X Fleur De Lis) but no Glitter Voice if you're getting confused with them?

This specific base is from SelenaEde on DeviantArt. I find all of my bases on DA and always check to make sure the lines aren't wonky before using them. My personal favorites are ElementBases and Mint-Light.

Thanks and that's exactly how I am going to explain it off in my comics. There's a lot of lore that I can't explain in videos as I really want it to be a surprise when I release the comic but that one is true. I still however want a mother that can give Firework and Firecracker some of their designs which somehow is the hardest part!

In my headcanon they are but not in everyones headcanon. Originally before I watched a theory video on those two being related, I shipped Sunburst with Sunset Shimmer which is where Firework comes from. Hence why her design is very similar to Sunset Shimmer, and why I don't have a mother for them.
