i know these sounds often dont come across well on video, but did it happen to sound almost like a sucking noise? sucking followed by a click/tick/knock where the engine stumbled for a second? im getting this on my xt350 and no carb adjustment fixed it. happens at idle just after starting and the engine will usually die after 10-30 seconds.

Did you use any gasket sesler when you replaced your clutch cover ? Or just the aftermarket gasket as is ?

On my xt600e there is a ticking noise but only on cold start up it stops after about half a minute, could be the valves untill the oil pump up?

I think I had an xt 50 that my buddy put a big bore kit in 1988?looked very similar.

I don't know why but I 🤔 thought the blue 🔵 xt600's were newer so I have the 1989 red and white xt600 man I love that bike so dependable pretty much bullet proof keep the oil and oil filter changed and she last many many many years I mean my bike is to years younger than yours so this is 2023 and they still kicking some ace 😂lol the old thumpers mine has a super trap man sounds so nice

I have a 1989 XT 600. What's different on a TT600 ?

I had it too, Yamaha TT600 - 91 but later I had a Honda XR 600 - 98 and it was much better. Before I had a Honda CR 500 - 91 that was fun bike, today I have a Husaberg 650 Fe 2006 an that's a beast, first time I'm almost satisfied 👍🇸🇪 Sweden/Sverige

Nice bike, I had a 83 with drum brake up front, bored it out to 620cc with a Wiseco piston and Supertrapp muffler, it added a dl of fuel pr 10 km - put pulled strong😄

This is actually the Crankshaft nut, the counter balance shaft is the one on top behind the clutch pack. The key for the counter balance shaft is ~1/4 long while the crankshaft key is 1 3/8.
