Just note, if you don't have a SIM card, or you're switching back to SIM from eSIM, AT&T WILL NOT ACTIVATE YOUR PHONE, BECAUSE IT'S NOT ON THEIR "WHITELIST". So, the only way around it is the SIM swap method. You would need another phone that is on the AT&T whitelist in order to activate it, and then pop that SIM card out and put it in the Chinese phone. Such a stupid thing for AT&T to do. They lost thousands of customers because of that.
