Hi Blu Skys, glad to have helped. I was going to have the lintel made from 8mm stainless steel and cut out by CNC but it was horribly expensive. I was fortunate to have a contact who was able to make it up from Aramid / Kevlar cloth and epoxy - light weight and super strong so if you can find a shipwright who can make one up for you I'd definitely recommend this material. Hi Per, Stu and Marina, the blue bar you can see was attached to my car jack and I just made sure I had some extra timber padding between its base and the top of the keel (under the floor) and then loosened off the stays and wound the jack up which pushed the roof up. It was a really stressful process cause I really didnt know if it would work or if it would potentially cause even more damage ie: cracking the floor, splitting the roof or even losing the rig all together. As a result of my stress over it I totally forgot to film that process 😬 but you can see what I did in Ep2 at around 1:20

Re: All you need is time and patience - agreed, skill and knowledge is totally overrated but having the same tape measure helps compensate ;) Hope you two are going well and not being driven too mad by the midges (a feature of living in Queensland so I know how annoying they can be).
