Sauna Box Review (30 day review) #sauna #saunabox
Someone that actually shows the resort and explains about the beach and if the sand is real or man made. Show what beer and drinks they serve right down to how you can upgrade to the prime area. Keep up this up my man, hard to find reviews like this. I'm heading here in week. Bahia principe coba tulum was awesome, older side of resort but still awesome try that place out..
@@MMAxdiesel appreciate the comments. I don’t think the upgrade to prime areas are worth it in my opinion for this resort. I just took my wife to Excellence Punta and we did upgrade to the “Excellence Club” worth every penny.
Drink are free?
@@AlejandraRodriguez-oz6rs drinks at the resort and the bottles in the room are included with the price of your stay.
Nice walkthrough, but you missed Spice! For those wondering, it's next to Chez Isabelle. The videographer only went as far as Chez, and didn't go just a bit farther to show Spice. And it's a great restaurant!
@@nancyarmisto5377 I didn’t show it cause I hate Hibachi lol thx
Really specific Question for you: does the club level room come with a beach bag you can use? I’m wondering if i have to pack one!

I hope to expect that when I go this summer! Thanks for the tour!
@CoolSanders thx for the comment look up @coolist video on this place his is great.
Thanks for the updated video! How was the weather, looked like you caught a rainy day here
@ it rained everyday from like 7am- 10am then it was clear skies for the rest of the day.

How was the food and service?
@@slimtny Food was excellent for breakfast and dinner, lunch was okay cause we are typically not buffet people. The service and the people weee fantastic, friendly and super attentive.
Wow!
This video does not do this room any Justice.
Helpful! As someone who’s had hers a week, as soon as I clicked on his video and saw yours in a hardwood floor my head exploded. Bummer it got damaged but not even a little bit surprised. This says a generates so much moisture … to anyone reading it I would never ever put this on hard wood or carpet.
@@Itsmehi456 I placed gym mats underneath and have had zero issues since.
Thank you for the video, I just got one recently. I wish it came with a thermometer and also an extra hole or two throughout the tent to put a electronic thermometer port.
@@TheMotoKing I ordered a sauna thermometer on Amazon and tied it to the railing.
Steam and electronics never mix well.
@@jdmb03 have had zero issues
I'm sadly disappointed with saunabox. 2 weeks in I noticed substantial water under the saunabox tent. When I tipped it sideways I noticed punctured holes from the plastic fittings that lock the poles together. I reached out to sauanbox and they said wear and tear not covered, but gave 15% off on another tent, which is a joke. The warranty states NORMAL wear and tear, and i'd hate to think they consider this normal. I was very gentle with it. I've replied several times and they've simply ghosted me. If you navigate to their 1 star reviews on their site you will learn i'm not the only one. Too bad, I paid a little extra hoping it was better than the stuff you'd see on amazon. I'd pay substantially more for this product if it was designed to last many years, not a few days.
Is it true that once you’ve used it you’re not allowed to return it?
@@MMAInstigator no clue
their "2 year warranty," is garbage. I'm having issues 2 weeks in and submitted a complaint to the BBB. It purposefully takes effort but make a few extra clicks and look at their 1 star reviews. I'm going though what many others go through thats expressed there.
Where is this?

Hey, going there in december. How far are the non signature units to town square, is it easily walkable?
@@Zekthefish the property is easily walkable, but if you had a lot of stuff you were carrying they have parking outside of the town hall so you could drive if you wanted.
Cool!
We might of gotten different saunas. Took me 15 min to set up. I thought I'd be struggling with the cover because of the reviews I saw, but it went on no problem. I unzipped it all the way and then threw it on the top first and worked down. Poles were straight too and did not bend. I'm 6.6 , 240 and I fit in just fine.
Found out that they actually got them upgraded so I have the 2.0 version

What does cleaning it look like? Machine washable you said?

@@Aviationpotato our generation is not cooked, this always happens whenever the oldest people in a generation ar preteens everyone notices that there a little different and then say there cooked, there brain isn’t developed yet and there just kids if u put them in front of a driving game as a kid with no practice this is what u get but if u do the same thing as a older teenager with a little practice there gonna be better. History repeats itself everyone thinks the next generation and say that there cooked when in reality most are fine and only some are cooked. If you wanna say an 11 year old is gonna be a terrible driver after you see his FIRST car simulator for 1 minute when there was 12 minutes and he will have practice and be smarter when he has his driving test, just because a handful of people in generation is different or weird to you that doesn’t make everyone cooked just wait till 2025, look at the next generation and after ten minutes tell me if there cooked or not, or do you need more time like u did me with one

@@therealwilliammullins3356 yes it’s in the 30 day follow up video
@@TheNauticalHippo just found it. Thanks
Thanks for posting this honest, thoughtful review, which made my purchasing decision easier. Appreciate it!
People are incredibly picky now. Buy a 3k sauna?
what 3k sauna are you referring to?
Not everyone has 3K or the space or the money for dedicated electrical.
@@jdmb03 it's a dumb comment anyways. It's all or nothign for an official sauna. I looked into it and i think the one he's referring to is poorly built, seat too low for 3k+, etc.
Is it possible to purchase the steam unit separate? Already have the sauna portion.
I believe not
I'd consider just getting some foam interlocking tiles (type that may be used for a home gym or something) to put under the sauna for your hardwood. Appreciate the review, the info on the distilled water is good to know.
Great video sir, I also have one and would agree that the container on the floor for sure can burn the ankles which can be annoying at times. I normally just re-position mine and then switch up my feet stance to avoid the steam but I for sure get what you mean. My last con I would point out with this saunabox is keep in mind everyone that the hole where the humidifier connects on the tent is only available on the right side facing the box. In my room setup I really needed to position it on the left side to be out of the way from the walk way of the closet of where I have it. To avoid this I had to create a small incision/hole on the left and patch up the right side so no leaks get out. But, besides that this saunabox is awesome !
Never even thought about the hole for the connections, valid point
I place the steam box under the chair and no ankle burn, just have to put your chair in the middle so you are facing the door
How long did it take for shipping?
2 weeks from what I remember
Love your video can you demonstrate how we clean out the little black box?
It just opens an I dump whatever water is in there out
How long does moisture stay in sauna after you are done? Website says to towel dry and leave flap open but leaving moisture in there seems like bacteria/mold/mildew could become an issue.
I’ve had no issues, I dry it off after use, hang the mat in the shower, no mold or mildew for me
I also set a fan in mine. No issues.
Awesome review man, first non sponsored review I've found as well. Appreciate the video!
Thx
Seems pretty cool. I wonder if there’s something that can be done to rectify the issue with your ankles being too close to the steam. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
I eventually found a spot to put it where I don’t have that issue, just move it around until you find a spot that works for you.
@TheNauticalHippo Yep. Move it around. A towel on the floor blocking the steam vent a little solved problem for me and I moved it towards the very back. Also put your feet out near the door. Just use common sense.
I bought an ikea plastic barstool and its sufficient at keeping me 1. higher elevated and 2. away from that little bin where scalding steam comes out haha.
Just don’t use it. You get more steam that way too!
How long did it take from when you ordered it until you received it?
About 2wks
I have one question i am considering buying one and i too have hard wood floors what did you do to fix that issue with the scaring on your floor? Aside from the scaring has there been moisture leakage or condensation pooling on the floor underneath the sauna that will cause damage to the floor?
I put gym mats down underneath and have had no issues since, and no issues moisture leakage or condensation
Is it dangerous that some of the plastic things inside can dispose like mirco plastic into the air by the heat
Are the tubes made from fibre glass, plastic or stainless steel
And finally how long it can last the steam box like year or two before something broke
No issues with micro plastics
@@Warbug-yo7tg I don’t know what the tubes are made of exactly but they are plastic
@@Warbug-yo7tg I haven’t had it long enough for anything to break yet
Im planning on buying one - would it be possible to just put a towel or something on the floor and have it on that? Maybe even a gym floor heavy duty matt?
I put gym mats underneath and have had no issues since.
I use towels. The mat in there smells like a tire shop. I bought a teak wooden bench which is awesome. Got rid of the tiny chair.
Do you keep yous inside? Any issues when airing out or concern of getting moisture on your ceiling or walls?
Always inside, and zero issue with moisture.
Great review, I'm just starting to look at these. Why the distilled water do they require it?
The distilled water created the steam, tap water is not sterile while distilled is, so you could be exposed to water borne pathogens if u use regular water would by my guess… like a CPAP machine
Tap (especially hard water areas) builds up minerals in the boiler which can reduce its performance. It’s mostly a lime issue. If any pathogens exist in tap (highly unlikely as most municipal water is chlorinated) they are killed in the boiling process. I just wouldn’t want to breathe chlorine and fluoride! I use machine filtered water from Safeway- less minerals than tap (not as good as distilled) but I’ll clean the boiler when I get the gumption or when it becomes obvious. Just need to find a good cleaning solution for aluminum because the boiler is aluminum! How cheap. Steel is better but more expensive. I’m actually building my own steel boiler.
Any chemical smell to it?
None
