Isaiah 55, How lovely! I have a family member that I want to buy a Bible for for Christmas. I will highlight this passage of Isaiah 55 as the very reason for reading the Bible. Many of us have spent our whole lives, not being able to comprehend that God is good and kind and loves us deeply. We are overcome by his judgment and wrath because in our heart we believe that’s all we deserve. God‘s love is so much bigger than his judgment! But in one of your previous episodes, you alluded to the fact that you cannot be a good God if there is no justice as well. Learning so much. Thank you for what you do here at Renamed Beloved.! ❤

The very first reason of why God asks questions is 100% as you said.. He wants a conversational relationship with us.. Amen..!! I don't know whether I've shared this or not in this channel, but whenever I feel procrastinate things, especially Prayer, I would used to think like this, *The one and only true living Almighty God, who created everything that we see & feel and especially me, is waiting for me to talk to someone who not at all deserved to even stand before him, then, why I even think about postponing my prayer?* And, this really helped me to have a close, conversational relationship with Jesus!! I really feel that there are just different levels of prayer .....different ways to pray ....different versions of prayer and you can go on and on ....On a conversational level thats where it actually starts and you graduate from there into different windows of prayer....on a personal level and also globally.I think the more you open yourself into this subject there is so much more revelation that it just feels that you begin to scratch the surface and there is so much hidden in this world of prayer.

Thank you for sharing your testimony. I didnt think I'd listen to the whole hour, but I did. 🙈 I resonate with many parts of your story. Though, I'm so grateful that my seminary was uncompromisingly Bible-based and affirms the authority of Scripture. My seminary experience helped build a strong foundation in my faith that continues to serve me today. They didn't embrace "deconstruction" or "critical theory". Yet, I learned critical thinking and how to approach interpreting the Bible in a responsible, contextual and evidence-based way. We were exposed to alternative and sceptical views, but learned how to research and argue. Unfortunately, many seminaries are being influenced by the world to embrace these secular models and to be sceptical of the Bible in order to be taken seriously in academia. Sadly, more institutions are going that route to fit into secular scholarship, and it's tragic that students who are sincerely seeking God's truth when they enrol, then graduate as good academics in the world, but as weak Christians in their faith. To anyone considering seminary today, I encourage you to check whether the institution is (1) accredited; and (2) affirms the authority of Scripture as God's Word as their basic foundation. God's wisdom is foolishness to the world, but to those who are being saved it's the power of God (1 Corinthians 1:18-31).
