very beautiful pictures, but where is it?
@@ChristianBaur these were all shot at locations near the town of Hanksville, UT. I can send you specific names or coordinates if you are planning to go
@ thank you very much, this place is like Mordor😎
Can't subscribe, is problem on your side? Great video on hasselblad, do more
@@KW86. just tested it on my end, not seeing any issues with subscribing to the channel. Thanks for watching
You got some beautiful photos looks like it was worth it
When youtubers will stop using lame unnecessary music while they are talking and showing their irrelevant long drives that has nothing to do with the title. Except to make the video longer for the sake of youtube

I love this hike. My wife and I make this hike multiple times a year. We spend multiple weekends in Estes as Place to get away. Love the photos.

Is there a specific reason you make acrylic prints? Curious because I don't really know many who do.
@@GrainOnTheGo Mostly just personal preference but I think when properly lit and printed large, it gives the most true to life feel of any medium I’ve printed on. It can be pricy but acrylic works great without a frame. I’ve found metal mitigates glare a little better if that’s a concern but fine detail tends to print better on acrylic
@ yea my main concern is really glare. Is it too obvious? Because i usually print on more matte looking fine art paper but i want to try and expand and experiment a bit.
@ the glare can take some getting used to. It’s kind of one of those things you notice when you’re looking for it but you don’t when you’re not. I think acrylic works best in a room where you have control over the light. In rooms with lots of windows and natural light it can be a bit distracting. HD metal prints are a nice in between the acrylic and matte look. Not quite as much glare
@ well I really appreciate how communicative you’ve been I myself am working toward a Hasselblad X2D myself so looking forward to getting some big prints done.
I know this video is 9 months old . There is a lot of lenses missing from the Hassleblad line up for me to even purchase that brand .
@@colintraveller lens selection is limited but getting better, but you are right that is a potential weakness of the Hasselblad system depending on how you shoot. For my purposes I’ve found 3-4 primes is more than sufficient
@cbphoto87 Even more ironic for such an expensive camera . It has no Auto iso on manual mode .. Yet only 1 user has mentioned this whilst every other hasn't ..
@@colintraveller if you’re looking for a feature packed camera this probably isn’t what you’re looking for. The price tag on the Hasselblad is for a minimalist UI with the best image quality and color science out there. Fantastic for landscapes and studio work. Might not be ideal for your use case. I personally never use auto iso as I shoot nearly exclusively on a tripod
Love this!! I am getting ready to buy an X2D and love seeing and hearing stories like this.
@@glenncharles6622 you won’t regret it. It has vastly enhanced my experience doing landscape photography this year. There are a few headaches when it comes to processing images outside of camera raw and also dealing with the huge files but other than that it’s the perfect camera for many use cases
@@cbphoto87 Thanks for reply. It looks perfect for my use cases. Great video and I love that you are printing big and putting it out for people to see. I own an Inn and have my work printed large and throughout the building. There is nothing quite like seeing your work in super large prints for all to see. To much photography is just living in the ether now.. Cheers!
How did you hike a 3300 elevation change with a cold? Difficult. Great photogrphars who get the shot take chances to get the shot. Many times it does not work out. When it does, you make a great image. You made a great image. Good job!
Tough hike for sure especially with a cold. Definitely almost turned back when the weather came in but glad I didn’t
Great images.
This is incredible...we did this same loop this summer, Winter in Estes/RMNP is unlike anything else in the US.
@@scotttuckerphotography agreed. Definitely my favorite winter hiking I’ve ever done. Been wanting to go back to do Chasm Lake but lots of warnings online about avalanche risk in winter
Thank you for sharing this authentic and real video about your adventure. You’re POV style made me feel as though I was there with you. Looking forward to future videos. Cheers.
Maybe for such a high definition camera you might shoot videos in 4K as well…
@@vannoz66 agreed 100%. I usually do upload in 4K but something got messed up in the video processing.
Back in the '60s, when zooms were neither common nor good, you composed to the lens you had.
How do you like the 21mm? I have the 45p that I sold for the 55v and I also have the 135mm with 1.7Tc. But would love one more lens to the wide spectrum. The 21/25/28 but highly considering the 21mm bc it’s the widest
@@jdpst20 I’ve thought about that one a lot too. The new 20-35 certainly would take the thinking out of that decision. I love the 21 and think it pairs nicely with that 45p. Feels like an appropriate focal length gap where the 2 lengths are different enough to be completely different yet without creating too big of a gap. 21 is definitely ultra wide but at least for landscape photography when you need it you need it. 25 feels like you wouldn’t miss out on much compared to 21 plus you get the better Astro aperture but more expensive, and the 28 being compact is appealing as I definitely love that aspect of the 45p. I’m definitely intrigued by that 135. I think if I picked up a 4th I’ll snag that when a bunch hit the used market with the rumored longer lens coming soon
@ I think the 135mm is one of my favorite lenses I’ve ever owned in going on 20 years of photography. I got mine second hand with the TC. Make sure you buy them as a pair if you can. Keeps the value up if you were to ever resale and it’s almost impossible to find a TC by itself. Yeah the 20-35 would be a sweet addition just for the time you wanted to zoom in just a touch. But idk if I could justify the price tag. I think if I went with the 28 although cheaper and more compact.. I’d want the 21 because it’s so wide. I did the same thing with my canon gear. I sold my 24-105 and ended up getting a 14-35 and 70-200 with a 50mm prime in the middle. The 14 mill compared to the 24 was just mind blowing and so much wider it made for some unique shots and fields of view.
@ yeah I think what weighed heavily in my decision was looking at my usage of my Nikon 14-30. Generally used it at the extreme wide end. And good to know on the 135. I check in on those prices every now and then. I imagine some bargains might be hitting the market on the 21 with 20-35 buyers letting those go

Enjoying your videos Chase. You're killing it man. Great video and drone work. Also like that your videos aren't super long or contain a lot of fluff. Just enough B roll and drone work to get a feel for the location. Keep up the great work.
Appreciate it!
