What a thrill! 145 mph as an amateur. 11/13/18 - In Houston's history, it's never snowed this early. Bush IAH airport recorded a trace of snow (meaning it was falling), but no accumulation. Pretty amazing!

September 29 (Earliest snowfall for TX) November 13 (Earliest snowfall for Houston) I live in Houston, & snowfall is my favorite time of the weather
What I did not see snow in katy because I was a sleep

Can you tell me how it even snowed when it wasn't even 32°???
Conditions where that right that a few thousand feet above ground level temperatures were below freezing and snow flurries had the chance to reach the ground before melting
Even though in Houston it was like 36°
It actually doesn't have to be freezing at the surface to snow! Just the air above
It can be nearly 40 degrees and you can still see snow.. All that matters is that its 32 degrees a few hundred feet above you.

Hey Brooks, The National Hurricane center just changed the pathing 95 L and it is heading towards Houston area
Thanks. I agree we'll see some rain, but I don't see its center coming here.... Here's a link: apps.sfwmd.gov/sfwmd/common/images/weather/plots/storm_95.gif (The black line is climo... but not an actual model. The NHC doesn't apply a forecast cone on invests...) We'll get rain, but whatever forms should head into south TX.
