@@ecuopelrepair So I have this issue with my Opel Astra-G (2002) with Z18XE motor / Siemens Simtec 17 ECU Intermittent P0220 Throttle Position Sensor-2 voltage high (should be 4.5 volts, but it shows 5 volts on throttle sensor-2 signal pin-D during fault (Fault can be reliably triggered by applying pressure to the side of the ECU harness connector otherwise "wiggle test". One possible cause is an intermittent break in continuity on the "ground" leg of the sensor potentiometer (sensor pin-H to ECU pin 58). With the ground "gone", the signal voltage would equal the +5 volt reference voltage. Normally I would suspect a fault solder joint at the connector attachment to the ECU printed circuit board but this Siemens ECU does not attach the connector to the PCB, rather the connector appears to be fully bonded to the metal case with welded (not soldered) wires between all connector terminals and the PCB. I have never seen this type of assembly in over 55 years of dissecting and engineering things electronic. Is anyone familiar with potential failure modes? A bad connection in the connector is another possibility but difficult to inspect because the harness-side and ECU-side connector pins are sealed and out of reach. My next step will be to test the "bad ground" hypothesis by grounding ECU pin 58 inside the ECU (after the connector) as well as continuity testing. If you have any suggestions for further diagnostic strategies I would be greatful!
@@dsson9614all 100% simtec 71 units have a problem with breaks in contacts that go from the connector to the ceramic board. First of all, short contacts at the place of ultrasonic welding of contacts with the board are subject to breakage. A break in contact appears when the engine warms up to operating temperature, and on a cold engine there are no errors and the engine runs smoothly. A break in contacts can only be determined mechanically: shake the contacts with a needle (if there is a break, the contact will move away from the welding site) or use a toothpick or tweezers as in the video (only for experienced users, because you need to feel the force of pressure so as not to overdo it and break the entire contact)

Hi. I got the same ecu. Some errors about throttle position, p1500 P1550 P1530 P1606. The last time there were no response from throttle. I temporaly replaced with simtec 71.1. I sent my ecu to ecu.de but they check the output pin and didn't found my errors so they didn't open the unit. Can you help me?

Наче Z14-16xe, там по жгуту М є проблема
Дизельні в ісузу не страдають як бензинові, він ще й зверху стоїть а маслом з середини залитий по жгуту, перший раз таке бачу
Якщо масло йде з під кришки клапанів, і попадає на косу то від вібрації воно підіймається вгору і через роз'єм потрапляє всередину блоку

удалять и менять на новые нужно все проводники идущие к наружным разъемам(у), проводники идущие на кристалл управления катушками менять не обязательно, за крайне редким исключением. да, работа кропотливая но вполне выполнимая.
Я как-то пытался припаять этих мелких проволочки в итоге испортил эбу😢

оборудование нужно нормальное а не дедушкиным паяльником туда лезть. Там напыление на керамике которое моментально выгорает если выставлена не правильная температура. Надо 200-250 градусов и не более на керамике, на другой стороне можно и выше, но не на много.

That's where we all are different: whenever I find a broken solder joint in any unit, I just cut with the testing and re-solder them all, no exceptions :) Interesting how Siemens always has very unusual boards, say the Volvo 2004-something BCMs with those snap-in connectors where I'd expect a soldered terminal...
Usually on Siemens and Delphi the contacts break on one side, I change all the contacts on this side. Volvo ECU was not encountered, only Opel ECU

The wireles is not silver, they are aluminum. Flux MCN-UV80 and ф-64

Does it work now after bending? By inserting a plug you could simultaneously check for loose pins in socket and then probe electrically. Bad!
