In 1899 the lifeboat crew from Lynmouth dragged their boat overland to Porlock Weir up and down those steep hills to rescue a ship in distress. 13 miles! They saved everyone an incredible feat. You can read the full story on the RNLI website. Bad enough in a modern vehicle

VERY BORING

One of my friends bought a Go Pod with a solar panel in a frame glued on top of a flexi solar panel on the roof (as the latter had ceased working). It was a pig to remove the flexi apparently. Took quite a while plus of course, he had to take his time to limit any damage to the glued surfaces. Bon courage.

I go past at 5.00am(delivering to Dorset) and can see the machines , always wondered what was there.

Why didn't vanbitz identify that it wasn't working when they fitted the system? Good advice . We just had 175 panel old style fitted at Highbridge with 2 leisure batteries. Just did 5 days off grid at valley fest with compressor fridge working great. Actually passed you in a layby!😂

Not a hard job to do if you've already got the wiring there. I fitted a second panel to mine myself. Cost me about £180 inc the panel.

When fitting to a panel van the ribs on the roof give plenty of airflow. Our Dreamer living has 2 times 200watt panels and a 150ah lithium battery and it is amazing. 👍🏼Also we slide our Disklok under the lower cup holders between front seats. Fits a treat and far harder to break off than the milenco where I’ve seen posts of steering wheels being cut to get lock off

Don’t get another flexy as they don’t have a very long life, mostly fitted to vans with a pop top as they’re fibreglass

Middle lane hoggers! String them up 😂 I heard you mention about buying toilet chemicals but, have you not tried using non bio laundry liquid? Either in liquid or tablet form? I’ve been using it and it’s brilliant! Put 2 capfuls or 2 tabs in your waste tank and one in your fresh water flush tank if you have one. No smell, except for the laundry liquid and leaves your water tank smelling much nicer. It must be non bio though as if you use biological and the camp site waste goes into a septic tank, the bio liquid can kill the good bacteria in the septic tank. So non bio only guys. I hope you found this useful.

The same happened to us with the solar panel and we also need a new MPPT (thingy) they measured ours and found one to stick on top of the old one.

Confused… you were going down old Newbridge bill directly towards the campsite, then the next shot is you are approaching from Locksbrook end? What happened? You did a large detour somehow. I grew up in Newbridge, so know it like the back of my hand :)

Enjoyed watching that. Looked like a friendly place to be. Back in the 60's (I might have already mentioned it), my Grandad took some cine footage of bikes racing at Mallory Park in Leicestershire (BTW I spent my early childhood in Hinckley, home of Triumph). Having watched your video, I remember a couple of the bikes you filmed looked very similar to those in the cine film. So in September after our Summer break, I'll have to get it lightly edited and onto my channel so you can see it for yourselves. Sadly it is a silent film, so I'll either have to try and add sound effects or just add a music track. Unfortunately I know little about motorbikes, which is funny, as my Dad was a keen biker in his youth and his brother once raced in the Isle of Man TT.

Great video. We have stayed there as it’s only ten minutes drive to our sons house. The site is fine, a bit tired in places but they have plans to redevelop and put in holiday chalets and reduce the touring pitches if it gets planning permission. Totally agree with your views on height barriers.

When we are back in Leicester, we love the Park & Ride there. £4.50 return for up to 5 people in the same car. Plus there are no intermediate stops into the centre. Bath is a lot pretier than Leicester though! I like how you've done the walking around bits with music. Soon we're off to SW France for the holidays, so you've inspired me to do some place visit type videos. LOL

Visited Bath Marina , to us it resembled a car park, it didn’t have much security, it looked untidy and anyone could use the facilities. We left after 3 hrs . Not impressed even though the park and ride was next door.
